God is honest, just and true. He has basic laws that mankind broke almost immediately. Eve and Adam disobeyed and followed evil(Satan) rather than Good (God). God is love, but also just. He said they would "die" if they ate the fruit. They died spiritually, and eventually, physically. Death is a consequence of mankind affiliating himself with Satan versus God. You un "Truthseekr7" would rather disobey and follow evil. You will send yourself to "hell" unless you truly seek and follow God.

I am honest. I care about people. I do not believe that a book which inspired the dark ages and is full of murder and mahem should be your guide. Its advice is murky at best. And it should be more than obvious that the God (YHWH) of the Bible evolves as the psyche of men evolve. Truly it is time to lay it down and care for others not get them to believe in an invisible and vengeful daemon that none of us has ever seen or heard or well you get the picture... For those who deeply want the "truth" and seek for it with all their heart and soul (as God requests)you will see eventually find it. You will end up agreeing with Sir Isaac Newton, Michael Faraday, Robert Boyle (and virtually all the founders of every branch of modern science)that the supernaturalness of the Bible as proven by the 100% fulfillment of prophesies, as well as the history and archeology, will give all the "proof" you need. Plus, God just may throw a little extra in, just for you!

For a better view of the Protestant revolution and the concepts of "absolute power, corrupting absolutely" (Catholicism or Communism) when meted out by fallible men versus the wisdom and love of God as sufficiently revealed in the New Testament, I would recommend Francis Schaeffer's book: "How Should We Then Live" which chronicles the fall of every philosophical world view that is the basis of government, versus following God's commandments. The French Revolution tried and failed miserably.

I have read all of Schaeffer. It is the classic Christian armchair quarter backing. "We could pull all of this off if Satan wasn't given authority right now but in a few thousand years or tomorrow whenever ole' JC gets back we will sure show you guys then!" The founding fathers had many problems with the Christian concepts of God that is why he is not mentioned in the constitution. The French are still free as are we. Bart Ehrman says he left his Christian beliefs because of being unable to reconcile much suffering and hell with a compassionate God. I had the same problem when i was 12 which led to my agnosticism. Later, as I searched thru psychology, philosophy & into teachers with Tolle's world view, I read Jesus words. Love is part of the answer. justice in the universe is also required. Accountability for men like Hitler and Stalin, or angels like Lucifer are necessary for love to survive.

I notice on your YouTube page you feature two videos of Eckhardt Tolle and his method to "enlightenment, yet you call yourself an atheist. Tolle believes, as do most virtually all New Age and Eastern Religion teachers & Scientology, Kabbala, and now Oprah Winfrey, etc, that we all can become Christ consciousnesses equal to Jesus. As an atheist, then, do you believe what Tolle teaches? That we can all become God?

I listen to and consider whatever it is that teaches/ shows that man should be more than a sniveling slave subjegated by fear of eternal torment and an invisible God that explains nothing except that we are bad and he is good. In the 5000 plus hand written ancient Greek N.T. documents, if the same variant is seen in 3000 of them that counts for 3000 variants. Many are spelling errors, so if this happened in 100 different places, youd have 300,000 variants. Historically, most scholars agree. For example: Jesus death for our sins is foretold in Chapter 53 of Isaiah, written over 700 years before Jesus's birth. We have actual Dead Sea documents (complete books of Isaiah) written 100 years or more before Jesus birth. Jesus himself may have held these copies of Isiah. Seek & Find.

Isaiah was written by at least 2 people significantly separated by time. Why doesn't god have one of those guys write that down? I was very disappointed when I was still practicing Christianity and found this out. Why doesn't God care about disclosing these things? Surely he saw this would be a major problem for me. If you are a truth seeker, study the large anti- Catholic Donatist movement that began as Catholicism originated in 327 AD under Constantine. As Jesus said "..strait is the gate and narrow is the way, which leads to life and few there be that find it" (Mt. 7:14). Few find it. Few are willing to give up sinful lifestyles (Jn. 3:19-21) and resist peer pressure (Jn. 5:44).

The protestant revolution came about because of free thought and secular society. Religion would naturally be the first wall of darkness to be delt a devastating blow when correct thinking or at least more correct thinking. John Calvin had people killed and probably would have killed more. Luther wanted to slaughter the Jews.
