I think after this they should work on "Sonic Adventure 3" since it took like 16 years to finally come up with another sequel to the "Sonic the Hedgehog" franchise so why not go back to the Adventure series...and no more spin-offs!!!

The spin-offs are likely to stay. Riders, the Storybook Series, and especially the Mario/Sonic cross-overs...they bring in quite a bit of money for SEGA.

The true Sonic fans will not get freaked out about the character elimination list because we remember the first game, and watched the shitfest Sonic became, which was mostly due to all the retarded characters they put in.
