Slow motion analysis is the DUMBEST thing ever. If you can look at this and get a sense for a golf swing, your going about it all wrong.. the most admirable thing about the pros is their constant routine and rhythm, which cannot be displayed in a slow motion. This is what sets a scratch golfer apart from a pro golfer, and all you see is SLOW MOTION GARBAGE!
@b4ckman Too much timing? Golf is all about timing you turd.(please see Fred Couples)...TIger is the only one to incorporate new swing changes time an again and still win majors(Nick Faldo sort of did it-but he stopped winning while he was doing so with Leadbetter). Yes u got it, clearly a homo....although next time for me to clearly understand what youre getting at you might try and get my dick out your mouth...
@PUArtista Nick Faldo sort of did? Eh? Faldo completed remastered his swing from 85-87. Then he won The Open in 87, and five more majors (and dozens of tournaments). He was a world beater from 1987-1997. Faldo is a clear example of a player who went from a willowy swing to a pressure resistant, repeatable swing and became one greatest golfers ever.
@b4ckman His ego aint what it used to be...get it right, that swing is frigging perfection. If your mind aint right no matter who you are you arent playing good......heck even Lefty went through a rough patch when his wife had a cancer scare(but conveniently no one ever addresses that on TGC)
i would say haney is pretty much a fake, he's unable to play a shot and everything he teaches is kind of figured in his mind. All the credit I give him is that for a period of time he didn't stop the best player in the world from winning
@SanDiegoGamers not even, his philosphy is a very good one in fact. It was just differnt for tiger bec they weer tryin to work around his knee problem
@steelgolfer811 what is good about Haney's philosophy? Yes, he wants the player to swing the club 'on plane', but, from what I've seen, how he wants players to achieve that end is very contrived and inefficient. What about it do you find 'good'? Watching Haney try to teach Charles Barkley and Ray Romano the EXACT same things was strange, don't you think? I didn't see many similarities between Barkley and Romano, and certainly not Tiger Woods who Haney 'taught' the same move. Interesting.
He does that to reduce the stress on his left knee, I think. It allows you to follow through your shot better (I even do it, although it doesn't quite work like this :)). What a show he put on today, he was -9 through 15 and could have gone even lower, and maybe could have even broken 60 if he were to get the 18 in.
you're right it does. he also has his left foot fanned out about 15 degrees at address. correct me if im wrong but i don't remember him doing that before.
@IkilU95 I don't remember Tiger's left foot ever being as flared out as in this video. He played awesome in the Singles, can't wait to see what he's got in the HSBC tomorrow.
