this movie was actually released again as a two movie special dvd package - the new adventures of pippi longstocking and matilda. it's pretty cheap and most walmarts have it. if nothing else i'm sure you could also find it on amazon.

This movie was filmed in my hometown in Florida. You know the boarding school she goes to because they won't let her live on her own? That's my old preschool. It was a really old building and it has since been redone and made into a small church school.

The old downtown setting is our historic district and the house she lived in is an area they called "Old Town."
