Hello:) Then I get white, but now You can spot that I pull oneself up and almost immerse my mouth again..so red card fore sure;P I'm monofiner and so my technique in DNF is poor...too short glides etc.
@hartman6699 do you mean "keep their head down" because he is not coming up for air? it is just the particular discipline of swimming called dynamic distance where someone swims underwater for as far as possible, in normal swimming people usually swim while breathing and try to achieve fastest times. sorry if i misunderstood your question.
i notice it a lot when i am nearing the end that i glide less and stroke more. seems that was happening here too. probably i guess its harder to relax through the contractions as they get closer. good distance there man. well done.
@paulblackpb Also, as your muscles start becoming lactic, your stroke and kick isn't as strong so you need to stroke and kick more to make the distance. Cheers!!
Thats not the reason. You can start exhale colse to the surface so you can inhale when you get your mouth and nose above the surface. I would try to use the glide more and be not be stressed to do so many strokes.
good thing there was no black out

i am just new to this sport and have much to learn but why dose everone keep there head down when swimming?
hartman6699 2 years ago
When you keep your head down there is less muscle activity compared to having your head in other positions. So, you yor body uses less air.
