I had two males who were the best of buddies....we purchased them from someone who said they'd been together for 2 1/2 years. Now one died....and the other has a new girlfriend. Actually...he stole his girlfriend from the pair we had before! I always assumed budgies were talking drama. Like..."Hey yo! That was my chick first!"

Dark brown is a female, pinkish color are boys, but if that pinkish cere has white mix in with the cere it could be another female.

Well, if they are older than 8 months, you can tell. The male one will have a blue or light pink or even purple cere! Females will have brown ceres(that includes dark brown and light brown.

Bloody noises bliters aren't they? Does yours bob its' head up and down when it's happy and talk to itself softly? I love when my budgie Gabriel does that it's so cute! But other times she's noisy.  I always give her treats and let her fly around whenever she wants because i hate caging animals i think it's not very nice but that's just me lol.
