  • @FLAGGEDbyU

"Humans are the dark side of nature." - False. Nature has no light or dark side, nature is amoral. Nature does not care for its "children". There is no purpose in nature.

"Technology has slowed our evolution." - Technology has modified our evolution. You say this as if it was a bad thing. Technology keeps us safe and healthy. Could it be done in a more respectful way? yes. Could we live without technology? well, in the stone age most of us would be dead by now....

  • @fourier98 ...you can't fall much further, but you will...

  • This video remind me the movie from Brazilian 1920's director Mario Peixoto called "LIMITE". The sequences, the atmosphe, the rhythm are amazingly similar. Please check and see if you love this wonderful piece from Dead Can Dance!

  • @FLAGGEDbyU Sadly.

  • thumbs up if you came here because of burzum

  • well, we can't close our eyes...such a beautiful video as well> both great! track and video :-)

  • @FLAGGEDbyU dito

  • @maidenofamacabre ....but without discovery no one would know what the natural world is

  • @FLAGGEDbyU << Religion and Nationalism has slowed our evolution. Often hand-in-hand.

  • This track should be a part of a "brave new world" soundtrack.

  • @FLAGGEDbyU i need some books like this

  • lol i have the old 4AD compilation VHS with this on it and played it at work one day not realizing a guys penis goes wiggling by haha. It's was back around 2000 and i've had that tape since the 80's

  • for the sake of argument; how dyou know animals arent and could just be just behaving themselves? haha

  • DCD's music is haunting and unforgettable

  • @FLAGGEDbyU WOuld any other species that achieved sentience be any better? I doubt it.

  • Listened & watched & loved

  • Fabulous composition, amazing music!!!

  • This was the song that started my love affair with DCD.

  • Haunting.

Dead Can Dance is simply amazing. No other words to describe it.

  • Exquisit!

  • respectfully disagree. Their live shows are spine tingling. Their music sublime.

  • I interpret the Protagonist, the hero of the story, to be Jesus. There is a lot of Christian symbolism in this video: the fishes-- which represent mankind, the protagonist's flesh-- the sacrifice, the light-- God in many forms, the water-- the Holy Spirit, or God. The protaganist enters the world of the fishes, lives among them, struggles valiantly, and is eventually victorious. I've never read any other Christ-themed interpretations, so maybe I'm the only one who sees it that way.

  • nice try!! but this clip can not be compared to the religion

  • The the grateness of the art begins when it starts to live with its own life so don't speak if it can or cannot be compared to something, this is not a product form hypermarket shelf intended to be used only in particular purpose.

  • Perhaps not christianism but just a god, that's the way i see it. Thumbs up for you.

  • I'm saying, if this wasn't in the Lord of the Rings it damn well should have been. Or maybe Reqiuem For a Dream. It does lend itself to a more open canvas. Bully!!

  • While DCD was great, they were performance oriented..a spectacle for the mind alteration crowd...but Lisa Gerrard became focused on the music, and went solo, giving us the great bodies of work we have today. Go Lisa.

  • AluCInanTE!!!

  • which Dcd album is this piece from?

  • This track was released in a vinyl compilation of 4AD bands, called "lonely is an eyesore" (ed. 1987). DCD has 2 tracks there, The Protagonist and Frontier. But it has been released in a more recent CD box from DCD.

  • __saw this Wonderful power group in the 80s, none can beat them ---Ever!

  • Close your eyes...listen this theme...and you will be in another dimension...far...far...far away.

There are no words to describe the feeling whilst listening to this music.

    Maybe A M A Z I N G.

  • beautiful

  • in the search of the peace we can not find here, in other words creating an atmosphere where all can breath, the most well done job u do for sure. I am alive no matter what I am on, this is the most unique sounds of the human history of all times, as they all distinct by the end of 90's.

  • Yes, it's lots of percussion rhythm with a wide range of instruments as bizarre as efficient, all associated with penetrating voice of the authors, but Dead can dance is primarily due to a transcendental approach and sirituelle

  • Dead can dance, is the reference in the magic of sound and voice (brendan perry and lisa gerrard) that transcend the mind. More than a decade ago that I am an ardent believer in the excitement that it brings still

  • yrtos -

I though I read in an interview once, that the band was named "Dead Can Dance" as they recorded most of their albums with old, ancient instruments which required no electricity...

  • Excelente Tema, Excelente Trabajo...Te Felicito echinopsys

  • nice job

  • Let's go fishing!

  • Gorgeous!!!

  • There were those before us..rejoicing in our destruction as the last blow against God..we see through a glass darkly... the whole picture is much worse...Read Paridise Lost...

  • Who cares what it is about? It's ART!

Just enjoy the beautiful footage and corresponding music...

  • I care. It's Art, yes, A.R.T, not Arty. It means something, which is OBVIOUS to anyone with a decent brain.

  • what is it about?

  • Mike Teavee: "Why is everything here completely pointless?"

Charlie Bucket: "Candy doesn't have to have a point. That's why it's candy."

[in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', written by R. Dahl]

  • pointless, this video?! you mean YOU (hopeless).

  • beautifull piece of art

  • One of the best tracks DCD (not looking that without a vocal). And it is my favourite music video EVER!

  • This track sounds like some classy and dramatic tune to some old movie. Very cinematic.
