The west was irresponsible in the way it lent unrealistic amounts to Africa, and only added to the existing problems. However, KK and his ilk find it very convenient to forget that those problems were also compounded by irresponsible government by him and many other African leaders. He forgets the nationalizing of business, the corruption and nepotism, the one party state he enforced, and the blatant spending of state funds on Mercedes', unessessary overseas trips etc etc.
