  • Ken is an idot. Learn basic gun saftey and stop making firearm owners look bad... like shooting at water with no saftey glasses.

  • I used one of those rifles to kill several people today, in battlefield 3.

  • great vid, keep on shootin into water!! love it!!

  • darrylhaynes - He's in the Army so thank him and go get a life of your own instead of telling people what they should do via youtube.

  • join the army....or just put the gun down...

  • somehow, someone, somewhere, has eaten my chicken

  • Cool vid!

  • bullets wont bounce off water at that steeper angle

  • Hey gizmoguy71, you know what you're doing. Don't listen to these "do-gooders". They are the smartest peeps THEY know. Hell, over the internet, so am I: I have 3 PHD's, and a veteren of WW1 w/ medel of honor, and 7th grade spelling B champ. Oh, one more thing: don't play with matches.

  • wow i think many disapprove of the watery siege

  • WHY WASNT IT LOUD HE HAD NO EAR MUFFS ON

  • thats one badass rifle!!!

  • now thats how real men fish

  • I think he killed a bird at 0:14 haha

  • @thehuntman47 Or a fish!lol

  • That is incredibly dangerous and irresponsible to be shooting water. It will ricochet. a .22 can travel 1.5 miles after bouncing off water, a 7.62X39 much further. Perhaps you should put your firearms away till you're responsible enough to use them. You could kill someone.

  • Then some Fish Float up and 10sec Later, A Diver:)

  • u r crazy dude ah ah aha but i like that

    t

  • I'm going to use my russian sks on a pig hunt

  • going fishin' bud

  • Shooting at water. Not very smart!

  • no shit i was about to say that lol

  • Why is that?

  • bullets will bounce off the water and keep going, they dont just sink to the bottom

  • I figured they'd just break the surface tension and go into the water, but it makes sense

  • @ranhefner natural selection HOOAH!!!

  • @ranhefner Using complete sentences. Not very smart either

  • - 10 rounds from RUSSIA, CHINA, ROMANIA MADE SKS rifle.

    - 11 rounds from Yugosalia made! (communist ...don't ask me why?) the spring control the bottom to let 1 more bullet fit in there.

    - ALSO check 1 extra bullet (SAFETY AGAIN ..GUYS) ...I know few communist guy get kill from this case!!!

    - Conclusion when you put hard from any OLD SKS you may get 1 more extra round no matter who made too!

  • - You are 100% resposible where your bullet come out and STOP at SURELY 100 not go further to kill somethings or someone you nerver AIM.....Understand all my friends....This is your Vietnamese friend, my country have enough war for me to understand and friendly tell you...SHAKE HAND ALL MY FRIENDS.

  • Waste bullets ..How does he know up down left right...? where he shoots??

And shooting to the water like that is Danger...bullets(boucing) from the water and go up again and kill someone in another side......(man ..man ..man..(boy)))

  • the angle is far too steep for the bullets to richochet. That, and it's a fairly powerful round, so the chances are lower. The ground is worse, since you could hit a rock. Then, ricochet is pretty much inevitable.

  • so what was he shooting? how do we judge his accuracy? LMAO why are all these vids of people shooting at nothing, shooting from the hip, and just blowing through tons of ammo? theres like 2% where people actually take aim, and have targets. lol

  • obviously these guy have never taken a hunter safety course. your not supposed to fire into water, the bullet could skip!

  • or ricochet :] wonder if i spelled that write.

  • stress relief.....

  • I want a semi auto rifle, and I thought the Ruger Mini 14s were nice but to prices, would you recommend the SKS?

  • -Get SKS cheap riffle, more stopping power 7.62x39, Mini-14 using .223 = 5.56x45 using in M16A2..less power stopping but more accuracy ,depend of how far you plan to shoot.

-For 0 - 200 yard go for SKS

    - from 200 yard to 500 yard go for Mini-14

    - Over 500 Yard (SCOPE) using M-16 (to kill a man (enemy)..

    - Over 500 yard and on ..Cannon 105mm, 130mm,175mm

    -Over that ...Missiles

    -Hahaha..You want some more....haha

  • you should shoot a log, i got mine to go through a foot and a half and go another 100 yards or so. it was pretty sweet.

  • what that water ever do to you?...fuck it who cares...just kill it

  • ha ha exactly.

  • bullits ricasha of water fool

  • These wern't bullits, they were "bullets". Bullits might ricasha, whatever ricasha is.... sounds like you are an Obama supporter, and educated like one.

Bullets can richocet off of water, I am fully aware of that, but still do it, and do it all the time.

  • well i spell like shit .....fuck oboma hes a dumb nigger and im not dumb i just cant spell good

  • ahahahaha lol good one you got him =p

  • @gizmoguy71 lol owned

  • @gizmoguy71 There is no way those rounds could ricochet when you are firing at such a steep angle into the water.

  • @PontoonTeek The more the angle the easier it will ricochet.

  • @gizmoguy71

At the angle you were shooting, its near impossible.

  • I have one question. The comment about the Obama Supporter is not necessary and also incorrect. I do not really have a chosen side for a political party but I do know that statistics show that people who supported obama are more educated than those who are considered "republicans". I am just telling you the facts and not having a go, really. The fact that he didn't spell things quite correctly shows what you might have more likely been implying. English may be his second or third language.

  • so did you catch any fish

  • "Yes I do and thanks for your concern for my safety, or the safety of my neighbors who live 4 miles away." LOL!!! I love this response to the damn ass comment made about bullets bouncing of the water. Yep, they sure can but this guy wasn't doing anything too dangerous unless you just think guns are dangerous and should all be banned. He knew what was beyond his taget (the water). Why the hell does everyone think they know better than anyone else how to handle a gun? Lighten up folks!!

  • BTW, pick up a copy of GUNS 2009 issue No.71 and turn to page 49. They are doing the exact same thing testing a .357SIG round. I am a big advocate of gun safety but some of you people just get rediculous. Maybe you just shouldn't shoot or go to a Nerf gun! I also ride motorcycles and wear a helmet but accidents can still happen. But damn, a little common sence goes a lot further than a ton of BS! Nice vid by the way. I love my Yugo SKS.

  • Word to yur Mom

  • thats super dangerous

  • new fishing technique.

  • Shooting at still water! ZOMG

I've actually bounced some 7.62x39 off water before, its scary when you go 200 yards into a direction you weren't aiming for...

  • isnt there a rule not to shoot at water?

  • yea, but with a good understanding of ballistics, there are times when its ok, (and fun) the reason is the rounds can be deflected, but they won't come back at the shooter......

  • yeah, it sounds awesome but it's also a good way to get hit by a ricochete, my dumbass brother-in-law did it.

  • thats not true, a deflected bullet won't come back at the shooter, he might hav hit someone if they were dumb enough to stand where he was shooting at, but if ur saying he shot himself with his own bullet, well that won't happen ;) not to say they won't deflect, but when they do, they won't return where they came from!

  • like I said my dumbass brother-in-law got hit with a bullet doing the exact same thing, you never know 100% what that bullet is gonna do.

  • with a rifle, I can predict where they will go, U should understand ballistics if U are using a rifle, just like letting a kid drive....... and in ur story, who got hit?

  • Yeah, I understand ballistics but you never know what is lying just under the surface of the water. To say you know exactly where the bullet will go is bullshit, it's better to be safe than sorry. And by the way my brother -in-law got hit and he was the one with the rifle (lever action 30-30).

  • well thats a cute story U hav, but in reality if he got hit by something after he shot into water, it wasn't the bullet, because U would hav to try and hit urself, maybe if he shot the water and there was a steel plate on the other side pointing to him, but it just doesn't happen, ESPECIALLY with a .30-30 with almost always uses a deforming soft point bullet..... nice imagination tho!

  • I agree with billson556, the geometry and physics just aren't there. The surface tension of the water at this angle will most likely cause the bullet to deflect like stone across a pond in the opposite direction of the shooter or break the surface tension entering the water. If it does happen to break the surface tension of the water it will disintegrate and lose its velocity rendering it unable to ricochet. Guns are still bound to the laws of physics.

  • That sound is preemo !!!!!

  • Damn, shooting into water sounds awesome.

  • damn beavers

  • I hope the fish are okay.

  • what fish

  • at 00.13 min right in the water, was is that ? something of the bullet ?

  • Yes, the cartriges get ejected straight out the top of the receiver and fly forward about 15 feet or so.

  • oh ok thx =)

  • lol your gonna come back a day later and see a scuba diver floating on the surface : /

  • At least this time I cant say you missed..lol.. You got that water, and you got it every time..Damn, to bad for any living fish or whatever else is in there. Lead kills man, lead kills.

  • Doing some fishing I see.

  • Thanks for rendering this episode. It was my dream to do that.

  • Well, you shot the lake down.

  • you do realize that fireing at water can richocet the bullet causeing it to go father thatn intended also creating a chance to possibly injure someone

  • Yes I do and thanks for your concern for my safety, or the safety of my neighbors who live 4 miles away.

  • "11 rounds will fit in the integral magazine."

No, they won't. The SKS was designed and built with a 10 round integral magazine. If you're stuffing an extra round in there somehow, you've either got an extremely rare one-of-a-kind rifle, or some form of malfunction that's letting you do dangerous things with your gun. I'd stop loading 11 rounds immediately and have a gunsmith check that out.

  • Maby he had a round chambered allredy. I dont know SKS's all that well.

  • -Yes,They do

    - With any OLD SKS if you push 1 extra round in to a magazine, I warranty the magazine will take it.

  • 11 rounds will fit in the integral magazine. This allows you to have 10+1, a fully loaded rifle. Mine does the same thing.

  • 11 round thats meesed up

  • How did you fire 11 shots? The SKS is supposed to have a 10 round capacity.

  • Hmmmmm. Good point. I never kept track. We never chamber a round first then try to add a round. I'll check it out and pay more attention.

    Thanks.

  • i just put in layaway a yugo sks like yours.. dont look fency , but i like it, and i hear alot of good comments on it,, tell me , it is really a good gun? teel me more about your experince on the sks,, thanks

  • - I got 7,000 rounds in my yugo 59/66A1 without any problem, 1 time I go camping and forget in the rain, next day I pick up and shoot a rapid (poor rapid) Bang...Whole body disappear, only a head and 1 1/2 ear left.

    - You will happy with that SKS ( do not shoot rapid like me, feel bad every time I think of it.
