man, i love this group. I heard this music in Kyoto at a store, and asked what it was. They had their CD, and I couldn't find it anywhere else. I bought it the next day and have treasured that disc ever since. Where did anyone find this?!
Also: I don't normally nitpick but I is YMCK really shibuya-kei? I thought this was more a chiptune thing and when I think shibuya-kei I think P5, Cornelius, Capsule, Buffalo Daughter, etc. I could very well be wrong though!
@Aleceil I've often pondered over YMCK's place or non-place in the whole pico-pop constellation. Their sound doesn't really match what pico-pop artists are doing... *were* doing. ;_; BUT they have done so much in commemoration or cooperation with pico-pop artists that I think every pico-pop fan eventually finds their way to them.
This is totally Giant Steps sounding by John Coltrane! I Love This SOOOO MUUUUCH! [TWT] ;w;

Does anybody know what specific John Coltrane-song Ymck is borrowing the melody from in this song? I cant recall the name of the original tune.

That is true, I personally see it more as Pico-Pop. However Shibuya overall has been a great genre to me.
