  • I've been on the fence over grabbing one of these little monsters but I do believe that your EXCEPTIONAL run-through here has made up my mind for me. Thanks for taking the time to do such an excellent demo for the rest of us; brilliant playing too.

  • @zekemuffin

    Thanks man!!

    Cheers!!

  • champion 600 is very cool well xd is modern

  • hi guy which pickups do you use in your les paul? thank

  • Whats being played at 8:00-8:20?

  • cooler sound und der Gitarrist ist auch richtig gut!

  • @jimihendrix19999

    Danke vielmals!!!

  • Wow.

  • i give this amp a 8,5/10 :D

  • can it make alternative rock fat distortion from the 90s at low bedroom levels? thanks

  • this amp is a little monster!

  • Nice demo, I've had one of these for nearly four years now, and am constantly amazed by the variety of sounds it kicks out, and combing the onboard fx with that, the options are endless. FYI whoever is curious; It is loud enough for a rehearsal or gig-in a small room-It shrank when i took it to gig in medium sized hall though. I sometimes use it with a 4x12 too, which gives a bigger spread and more bottom end speaker grunt. Lovely piece of kit, PS Had the red knob Champ 12 too -this is better!!

  • brilliant demo! brilliant player!

  • Imas lep zvuk i odlicno sviras. Kada bi uporedio Roland JC-50 i Fender Super Champ XD , koji bi bio tvoj izbor? (realniji za svirke i "live") Hvala unapred i pozdrav iz Srbije

  • @sasavid

    Hvala!!!

Roland JC 50 is more powerful and therefore better suited for live playing with a drummer, but the Champ has a tube power amp, and I (personally) like its sound better. But the two amps are very different.

    Greetings from Plovdiv!!!

  • @koliok

And I thought that the answer will be similar to this, because I have the same "wavelength":)). I was thinking about the Super Chap amplifier, the 'tube', but I think the 15W is perhaps "a bit" for the gig with the band. Only if you use the "line out" or a microphone as he is .. Line Out? No speaker simul. (speak.emulated out)? Recordings and playing these Excellent! Thank you for them! :)

  • @alarm340 @opheytophezz

    Thanks a lot guys (bow)!!!!!

    Regards from Plovdiv

  • THE best demo of this great little fender, you're a pro.... Thx, and Hppy new year from France

  • Way better quality than the gearwire demo. It would have deserved more comments on the video.

  • jeanyus!!!

  • oh and last quistion

is this a big upgrade from a marshall mg30fx to this???

and is this good for practising at home in my room???

  • im only a kid and this amp looks really fun for the price!!!

    better than my marshall mg30fx...

  • and if it doesnt

can i put the hardwire tl2 metal dist in front of it?

  • @slaytallimaiden

    Of course!!

  • @koliok seems like a good deal for 260euros :D

and by the way you kickass!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @koliok Wow, you're a great player!!!

    Nice vibrato :)

  • @RattFinkMusic

    Thanks a lot man!!!

    Cheers!!

  • hi can you get a modern metal sound out of this like disturbed or machinehead???

    withoud pedals of course :p

  • @slaytallimaiden

Hi, the amp has some great high gain sounds on its own (without pedals). Of course its 15 watts, so it cant keep up with loud drummer, but otherwise its really great for the price!

    Cheers!!

  • I love this amp..I took out the stock speaker, put in a Ragin Cagin, and I mic into a BOSE PA system and in sounds like a stack of Super Reverbs at a 10th of the weight.

  • WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO PLAY ALL THE STUFF FROM THIS VID WITH THE CAMERA ON THE FRETBOARD?? GREAT PLAYING BY THE WAY

  • Great playing, great sounds. Thank you man!

  • CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF THE SUPER CHAMP XD WORKS FOR THE MUSTANG 1 PLZ WRITE BACK!

  • 弘法筆を選ばず、とは、この事ですね。素晴らしい演奏でアンプの魅力を余す事無く出し切っていて、とても良い動画でした。アップロード感謝します。

  • Wow!! You have some chops...nice playing.

  • does it work well with effect pedals?

  • all tube ? no modeling

  • @hjalmarBuoi

On the contrary, modeling preamp, tube power amp!!

    Cheers!!!

  • @koliok have to avoid modeling :D

  • @koliok so it just models its effects ? :P

  • @koliok I just bought one because of your video. Man you rock! Thanks!

  • @naniho

    Thanks, I am glad!!

    Cheers!!

  • @koliok and what amp do you think is better this or fender mustang 3???

sorry for all those questions :p

  • do you think it would handle some zeppelin amd ac\dc tones?

  • Awesome playing, the amp sounds great

  • is this amp loud enough to handle playing with a full band + horn section? and also how does it handle pedals? i have a Boss blues driver and a ps9 tube screamer.

  • @mattadam1613

HI!! The amp handles pedals quite well, but for playing with band and horns could be a bit weak (its only 15Watts), depends on the band :-)

    Cheers!!

  • can you get near the quality of a blues junior?

  • @MrLaser2

Hi! Quality is also matter of taste, but I would say Yes, without the breakup of the clean channel (its simulated though, thats the idea of the presets, I guess :-))

    Cheers!!

  • would you say this amp can cope well with heavy pedals and not sound 2 bad?

  • how loud can this thing get?

  • nice amp

  • Is this 15 vatts Amplifier friend ?

  • Best playing Eva!!!! Can someone please tell me what he was playing at 6:30???

  • @MsJman911

Thanks a lot!! I am playing some rhythm change I guess (or at least part of it)

    Cheers!!

  • #12 is the best.

  • Amazing, one of the best demos out there, and I can't wait to get my Super Champ XD. Wish I could play like you though.

Nice surprise with the charlie hunter type sound at the end :)

  • Man , is this amp loud enough for a garage band practice or a little gig?

  • I have the Vibro Champ, also a great bedroom amp. Your playing is exquisite! Always love to know the world is rocked by good guitar players everywhere.

  • @TheGypsyHook

    Thanks a lot !!!!

    Regards from Bern!!!

  • i heard the distortion on this amp is not that good is that true cuz i want to buy one

  • @nirvanabeatle1 If you want to play rock, it's excellent in my opinion.

  • Comment removed

  • Would this amp be good for Stevie ray Vaughan?

  • @obesehairydog

Hi, I have Ibanez PM120, work quite fine (IMHO of course).

    Cheers!!

  • sweet guitar playing

  • @yogevcohen

    Thanks a lot man!!!

    Cheers!!!

  • Obviously one of the greatest tube amp ever... can't wait to get one!

  • Comment removed

  • Just bought one. Now I can play like you!!! Oh well... Maybe in the next life.

  • Nice demo. Just got one to use with my strat and jag with humbuckers. Now i can throw the Line 6 solid state in the dumpster.

  • @journeyquest1 Haha, Line 6, what a shitty company. Tried their Spider amp? Horrible.

  • @CamelCloud I have a 15w spider 2. Even in great condition i cant give the thing away. No one wants it.

  • @journeyquest1

I would LOVE to have your amp...so I could burn that piece of excrement.

  • @WoWintosh I did buy the Superchamp XD though.

  • Would this work for a small gig?

  • I have an old Shure SM57 that looks basically like a SM58, nothing like this one. Maybe yours is a newer model. Fine pickin', bro!!

  • Excellent playing fantacstic TONE! You are a very versatile guitar player! Thank you!

  • Thank-you for this. There are lots of demos of the clean tones with strats but this is the best one showing the higher gain voices with an LP. This convinced me to get an SCXD. You should get a commission from Fender. Or at least a free t-shirt and amp cover or something.

  • 100% valve?

  • wait so does the amp come with these playing skills?

  • @noscopeentertainment ...haha good one man. You made me laugh. Wouldn't that be great?

  • Fantastic musician - Fender should've paid you for this video, as I'm sure you'll end up helping them sell a hundred of these amps!

  • Freaking Russians, man! Why are you guys so good at playing guitar! From Nikita Koshkin to Grisha Goryachev... You rock buddy. And that little amp is sweet but I think I'm gonna go with the Blues Jr. 'cause I don't care much for the voices. Thanks so much for the demo though!

  • @saradamsmc

Thanks a lot man!(bow) Russians are really great at playing guitar, but I am Bulgarian actually :-)

    Cheers!!

  • @koliok Bulgarians play much better then Russians! ; D you did got some great recorded sound.

  • @koliok Can I ask u about the pre amp and sound card u used for recording this?

  • awesome playing !! can you tell me what pickups your les paul has, and if stock which ones

  • @aaronb7135

Thanks :-) The pickups are Gibson Bursbuckers Pro

    Cheers!!

  • The SCXD has a FET input which always goes through the digital modeling section, even the clean channel. (the preamp tube is for phase inverting and end tube level adjustment only)

It does sound quite nice though, as you can hear in this demo. It can lack some mids with certain cheaper guitars and when it distorts, the distortion amount is quite fixed and not so responsive to playing power. Those are the only minor flaws; it's an absolute fun amp for a good price.

  • Nice playing i have one these amps i play it through a 2x12 fender bandmaster cab an it sounds amazing clean or at high gain it is very loud 15watts an is easy enough for small venues the 2x12 cab gives it a bit more bass on the bottom end for some great rock tones ..

  • Great demo ! ;]

  • It's a 3-mode hybrid. First, for both channels, two TL072 transistors in series, incredibly clean solid state pre-amps, boost the signal up to be sent into the analog/digital converter, then into the digital processor chip which does all the functions: gain, volume, bass, treble, effects, and amp models. The signal then goes back through the d/a converter into solid state TL072 and a 4560 pre-amps, then into the 12AX7 to be split into the push-pull 6V6 power tubes. Vintage Modified for sure.

  • It's just too cheap not to get one. I prefer it over the VC and all the Vox'es and Bugeras. If you hook it up to a cabinet it opens up and then it just sounds so powerful.

  • I have a LIne 6 Spider 2, 15w solid state amp and was wondering how much louder this amp is if any?

  • I'm more impressed with your play than the amp.

  • *begins fapping to your sexy tone*

  • what audio interface did you use bringing in the signal from the mic to the computer? (Thanks for great demo btw/)

  • @frigsmak

    Thanks, Presonus Firebox.

  • do you think the tubes come first (overdrive, poweramp) or is it a modellingamp with some additional makeup tubes to warm everthing a litte bit.

Is it possible to bypass the modelling stage??

  • dude you're frikin' amazing!!! like how the hell do you play that fast and get those crazy chopps? im an LP player too and love the way it sounds on this badboy, so i definetley gotta get this one. But please respond :) This made me smile the whole time. Thanks :)

  • It´s there a sound tone difference between this amp and the Vibro Champ?? Great play!

  • @zzseba

    Thanks a lot!

Sorry I don't know, never tried VC! But there should be, at least because of the different speakers and power amps .

    Cheers

  • @koliok This is 15 watts, the Vibro Champ is 5 watts.

  • @zzseba Definitely a difference between Super and Vibro. Larger speaker and 10 more watts. IMO definitely worth the extra $100, because the tone is better. However...I bought the Super and exchanged it for a Vibro because the Super was way too loud for my apartment. Vibro is perfect volume for apartment and still has great tone. Very happy with Vibro. Super has a clean channel but it sounds a lot like one of the "voices" - so no major loss. Get either! They're great little amps.

  • this video is great as background music while I search other sites!

  • Does that mean that channel one has modelling properties? There's so much misinformation concerning this!

  • @707 on the first channel it's 100% valve but on the modelling channel it's a hybrid.

  • @bigjohnnygee123

As far as I know, the preamp is modeling and the end amp tube one, the 12ax7 is phase inverter, not a preamp tube.

  • is it true that this is a full tube amp?

  • The amp is great, but I think I would have rather seen the other end of the guitar cable!

  • Thanks a lot for this great demo.

For me too, I'll buy it soon.

    Cheers !

  • Hi, you're so good. I was thinking about buying this amp. Now I decide that I'll buy this. Thank you!!!

  • @lonesomemasato

Thanks a lot man!! Good choice, the amp is really nice for practicing and small gigs!

  • @koliok Small gigs like pub gigs? Because if so I might consider it. Nice demo!

  • Hi, you're so good. I was thinking about buying this amp. Now I decide that I'll buy this. Thank you!!!

  • Both the amp and your playing sound great. Nice work mate. cheers

  • I like the Superchamp XD, I just wish Fender would put better speakers in thenm instaed of the shitty stock speakers, which always sound like the cone is ripped apart straight out of the box. Ruins an otherwise great amp!

  • You play a lot! Nice

  • wow i guess it is actually possible for this amp to sound good. my friend has it, but his sounds like shit. i guess it's just his settings or something

  • i have a marshall jcm800 and im thinking to buy a vibrolux do you know it?

  • @dekamalvideos

Yes, but not closely, sorry ;-)

  • Could this work with mcr also

  • thanx to this video i decided to today, go and buy this amp !

  • @verdugo98

Great, I am sure , you gonna like it!!!

    Cheers!!!

    Nick

  • A Perfect DEMO of this Product! Thank You!

  • hi! good hand man! ;-)

i have a question for you: is it possible play this amp with a band?or need more watt?

  • @pindaro

Hey, Yes its possible, but it depends on how loud the band is :-). I have played several small gigs with it and was quite happy with the sound and balance. But for loud metal drummer, I don't think it will be enough.Cheers!!!

  • is it good for music like led zeppelin or black sabbath?

  • @kakabulle243

Its good for all kind of vintage rock, of course as much as possible for such a small amp. Cheers!!!

  • @kakabulle243 no offense, but didn't you hear the thing? sounds amazing for vintage rock. One of the best demos on youtube. Thanks a lot. Amazing amp.

  • @pablosebastian30 yeah i know i just bought it a week ago its really a great amp i was a little conserned because it didnt cost that much but i couldnt be more pleased with this amp

  • is it good for music like led zeppelin or black sabbath?

  • is it loud enough to play gigs?

  • is it good for heavey metal

  • Could you consider doing a likewise demo with one of your strats? ;) would love to hear that!

  • Are there many differences between this amp and the blues junior?

  • @PF1964 No, they are identical in every single way.

  • @PF1964 They are not identical at all....the blues junior is not a modeling amp at all..google for the best idea if how different they are...

  • @PF1964 blues junior has one tone,,,this has more versatility....blues, hard rock, metal C&W....try them both see what you think.....Super uses digital tonal changes then sends through a tube section...blues jr just tubeamp...

  • Comment removed

  • Wow this is nice! Sweet bluesy/jazzy sounds from a les paul :) thanks for the video! I'm definitely gonna buy a super champ xd

  • Would it be possible to play gigs with this amp? does it sound good when playing pretty loud?

  • @kleschtremania if it is a small cafe type room and your drummer is not loud yes...i have a video here on utube that shpws you how to get this little amp- very loud.... by using it to drive a bigger amp...in my case i drive my fender 60 wtt Concert with the line out of the super champ into the return on the back of the Concert..you get same tones only it uses the slaves amplifier section to make it as loud as the slave amp can go or need...

  • beautiful sounds from this amp....can I ask what was the volume and gain set on throughout this demo....thanks

  • @stevoe1000

    Hi and thanks a lot

The gain varies through the demo, but the master is quite low because I was recording at home. Anyway, when louder, the amp only sound better :-)

  • awesome tone and playing, thanks for the demo

  • Hi, i haven't this amp and i want to know if it's possible to play with in a flat or if my neighbours will call the 911 ? Besides , do you hear bad noise when you use a headphone connected to this amp?

PS: Sorry for my bad english

  • these are awesome little guys. i love mine

  • Which point in the video is voicing number 8 (British Rock)? Is it from 1:22?

  • I want one ;__; I already have the Vibro Champ XD and i love it...i just want two SCXD's and two VCXD's...just because

  • wow great playing, you should do some demos showing your hands! I am thinking about buying one of these for small gigs? Dont know if it would be loud enough?

  • Ugh your style of playing is so versatile!

Hows the blues on this amp with a Strat?

  • @mikesta99

    Thanks :-)

Quite good( for such a small amp), at least for me :-)

  • Very nice playing and tone, can I ask what would be your preference?

A 70's silverface champ or this..?

    Thanks

  • @philm0l

Hi and thanks a lot :-)

I would definitely take the 70s one, but thats because I am a stomp-box player and the only thing I need is good clean channel. For somebody else the XD could be the better choice

  • @koliok Thanks for the reply,

It's got to be a Silverface for me then as I have just spent a small fortune on pedals..! ;-)

  • @koliok- Hey you said you would take a pure clean tone with stompboxes over the models, but isn't channel one a pure clean tube channel, which you can put pedals in front of? Just wondering, thanks for any help.

  • @superlou1s

Hi, channel one is definitely absolutely clean, but I am not sure if its tube based. The amp has only one 12ax7 tube, and I am not sure if its in the preamp, or belongs to the poweramp ( i think its phase inverter) . Anyway, the clean channel works very good with pedals

  • @koliok- The fender website says it has three tubes, and channel 1 is all tube. 2 tubes in the power section and 1 in the preamp section.

  • @superlou1s

    Cool, I didn't know(never checked). Thanks :-)

  • You fucking own!

  • great tone! I expected it to do only clean and blues stuff but it got a great overdrive tone aswell! Is the amp totaly stock in this vid? And did you use any pedals?

  • I want this amp so bad.

  • @FeralArtist Me too, think my search for an amp that I'm happy with could end with this

  • @EuropeFactor

Just, when you get it, try it with external cab and you will end up swapping the speaker, they are great amps , but the speaker is not so good (though totally usable). My is with Ragin Cajun inside :-)

  • @koliok Thanks, actually I'm thinking of trying the Celestion G10 Greenback in it, or the Vintage G10

  • What you you think about gigging with this little guy?
