  • we specialize in led light

  • so do you have to get the special type of led lights or does it just have to be a bright led?

  • "there was a time when I had a little bit better aim with this" aye aye... ;)

  • Sorry all for the absence! Things have been very crazy for me lately.

Comment to SuperAaron: Be careful with straight AC-DC circuits. The LEDs are current based devices and characteristics change with temperature. If you do not control current, you may find that they are dimmer when cold and may run-away as they heat up. The driver is not all that expensive that I would risk the LED on a VR circuit.

  • o and the driver is just a ac dc two 12v and you can use a Voltage regulator

check this out Voltage regulator tutorial & USB gadget charger circuit

    it a lot cheaper

  • Not So!! The LED is a constant-current device. The resistance will change with temperature and a constant voltage source will either provide very low efficiency at cold temperatures, or blow the LED when it gets hot. Please be careful!

  • love the video's thanks

  • one more question, can i use 4000LM instead 8000LM for my 5 ft fish tank?

  • you don't want to do tha.!!t. i did that and it bleach my color it has to mush light in one spot you need to spread that light ... 5x 20w is mush better because you are spreading tha light apart , but if it work for you let me know i had to do tha 5x 20w in order to work and my tank is 30'' deep

  • notice any difference in corals? im thinking about doing 3 of these on a 180 reef
