The Twin Cities Marathon is 42 Kilometers, held between the city centers of Minneapolis and Saint Paul I participate as a spectator
History: Pheidippides, a Greek messenger was sent from the town of Marathon to Athens to announce that the Persians had been defeated in the Battle of Marathon which took place in August or September, 490 BC. It is said that he ran the entire distance without stopping and burst into the assembly, exclaiming ( 'We have won.') before collapsing and dying
Great Job! When I ran the Twin Cities marathon back in 1982 I hadn't run any distance past 8 miles in training, so at mile 23 I started mixing in walking with running. I was totally tanked. I finished at about 4:30. I have a load of video of the race. Maybe I should just post all of them on YouTube. I am sure there would be dozen of faces that would be recognizable.
Those two women at the beginning of the video were impressively fast and total babes too! I assume they were elite runners
Looks like a nice comunity event. What is the course lenght and do you consider participating ?

I must of missed a payment to YouTube. Somehow my video has been downgraded from the HQ high quality to the old video resolution.
