  • haha! I don't know how I missed this video until now! I LOVE THIS!!! What a great video! You make me laugh! :) And, what is it? New glasses? New hair or something? :)

    :)

  • FIFTY DOLLARS FOR BANANAS?!?!

Yes, all caps was with intent. Seriously. That's a lot of money for bananas.

  • wow havent seen you for along time, nice to see you agen... :)

  • People, Zombie Haiku is an abomination; especially, when decent poets can't get published. Moving on.

I realize the market is saturated with hideous memoirs, but good memoirs are possible. A Heart Breaking Work of Staggering Genius is an example of one (although, I admit, Eggers' incessant deconstruction of his own book loses its charm after a hundred pages). The problem is that mostly self-obsessed idiots are publishing their stories.

  • And since we live in a culture hungry for the most degrading, shameless exhibitionism; the whole genre goes down the drain. Memoirs should be held to the same standards as fiction (good fiction, that is). Unfortunately, they aren't.

I just read Manic by Terri Cheney, and it was the most God-awful piece of excrement I've ever read. Of course, it became a best-seller. Oh, and HBO is converting it into a series. I'm pretty sure the book is one of the horses of the apocalypse. :P

  • probably the best book review show ever!

  • I saw the lady who wrote the memory book on Good Morning America (if i remember correctly)..."stupider" is not a word miss Spikol... lol...

  • Holy shit this was hilarious. I love your sense of humor! I couldn't stop laughing, lol.

  • Great job! That was too funny. I needed those laughs.

  • I bought Zombie Haiku two weeks ago and I thought that it was an interesting addition to the genre... at least allow zombie fans some culture, even if it is the lowest form of poetry.

  • thank you miss spikol. ;-)

  • Was that a Jesus bobblehead doll atop that pile of books? Couldn't he do any miracles to make the books better?

Also, I'm intrigued by 'Zombie Haiku.' It looks like it would be so bad that it's actually entertaining. Or not.

  • Send me your bad books. I'll give them some loving reading. Or give them to the poor because nothing lifts a person out of poverty more than bad literature.

  • it's usually great to curl up with a good book - but not if your toes are what is doing the curling up.
