Jonas is gonna be father in october 2011, and he may be a bit confused at times, but so confused that he is producing a baby, thoug he is dead is too much even for him.
He is a fantastic person, and I hope he''ll be around for many, many years to come!
It is certainly not time for him to rest in peace yet! - His real life is just about to start right now. :)
Yes Tommy Bolin....one of my old influences, my times of Todd Rundgren, Yes , U.K.
and Mahishva Orchestra.. Al Dimeola, All the differnent Players with intricate style. I cant help but miss this one the most, great guitars without trying to beat the band, Vocals with personality.. Good stuff. Took a friend to remind me of my past. Thanks.
oh my god i wish my cat was here to hear this he ran away last night and i hope he's not dead because its been raining for 2 days and windy very windy and if you live in Canton, South Dakota and you find him you get $50 he's orange/tan-ish you should see REWARD in big letters on posts so yea
TO ALL THOSE WHO SAY BOLIN RUINED DEEP PURPLE- "YOU GOT A VACUUM BETWEEN YOUR EARS...OTHER THAN THE FIRST AND SECOND LINE-UP, THIS IS MY FAVORITE!!!!"
I saw Tommy in Odessa, Texas at the Ector County Coliseum ~1973 when James Gang had just released "Miami". I will never the show he put on ............
Definitely one of the best. And I agree Tommy Bolin should have gotten more recognition. This particular song was one my favorites. The arrangement, the synchronization, the overlay ... all of it was brilliant! Just think if the musicians, back then, had access to all the modern electrical, musical components today!
Hendrix feared that demons were haunting him, and I can feel that maybe Tommy had his own demons haunting him. It is so sad that both of those great talents had to die so young. They both will be remembered, long from now, and we can only keep listening to the music they gave us. In that way, they will still live on. RIP
This must be one of the best songs ever written and this is definitely the best performance of this masterpiece!! Defensibly uop there with stairway and child in time
Was turned on to Tommy Bolin by a DJ who would play Tommy's tunes late at night. I would call him up at the radio station and talk Rock with him and ask him who he played if I didn't know the tune. He used to be a roommate with TB in Kansas City and told me about a band Tommy played with in Denver called "Zephyr" and said he couldn't find any "Zephyr" cds anywhere. I told him where to look and made him a fan of the music shop I told him about and in return he made me a fan of TB....R.I.P TB
if I knew which way was home.... from Sioux City where Tommy was from and live in Arizona now.. but my whole high school memores are of Tommy's music.... and yea, knew Johnny his brother, some fun partying in Okoboji....:*)
He went far too soon. Seen him with Purple in 75 at Festival Hall Melbourne. Great concert, one I'll never forget. He guitar work is Awsome and cant be matched. He had his own style and a distinctive sound to it. His solo career was great and he did well.
I saw Zephyr open for Led Zeppelin in 1969 at The Boston Tea Party, I had no idea who they were, 2 bucks for the show.

Most guitarist learn to play the instrument, TB was born with the talent.
Rest and rock in peace, the music lives on.

Check out "Carbon Dioxide" from Alphonse Mouzon and it's hard to believe it's the same guitarist. The breadth of talent this man had was uncanny.

This song is autobiographical. Not too hard to figure out what was going on with Tommy. Just listen to his songs.
