Thanks to Peter Schreyer, this 2011 Optima will propel itself ahead of accord and camry. the design and style is just mindblowingly awesome and beautiful. the powertrain is extremely efficient and with the 2.0 liter turbo 4cyl., 274 horses and 269 lb-ft of torque, the car will have a lot of power with very great fuel efficiency. bravo to KIA and Peter Schreyer, they are both transforming the KIA brand into a great competitor. KIA should be proud, and now they have something to be proud of!!

I have an 02 Hyundai with 76K and my wife a 2005 Kia with 68K miles. So far just maintenance, no repairs! Both cars are still under the 100k drivetrain warranty but I have no doubt they will make it there without problems. I know a guy who has a Hyundai with over 300K on the clock with no problems! He delivers mail and has to rely on it every day for his business. He bought a second one 6 months ago to expand his business. Has already 70K on it! 2011 Optima will replace my Hyundai next year!!!

the grill is the most ugliest part of the car. I really love the side though. Way better looking than the sonata due to the sonata crazy creases. But the front is not as aggressive looking compared to the nissan altima and i doubt the driving experience will be as close as the nissan altima.

The us version of kia k5 does not have welcoming system, LED positioning head lamp, LED head lamp (just normal yellow light), automated trunk, gulwing typed side mirror, rain sensor, door handle light, smart conering lamp but way more expensive than original korean version of K5 (optima) on full option... why? b/c US law kills foreign products to protect domestic product! what a rip!

However US version has turbo charged 2000cc 4 cylinder engine and thats all...

Hyundai is certainly improving in quality since they are so determined to challenge honda and toyota ,so I firmly believe that its quality is now on par with Japan top three. hyundai and kia have been getting much better reviews than honda and toyota in the last couple of years, not just that but their new vehicles get even better gas mileage than the japanese cars and most of them even look better, toyota and honda need to step up their game in this new agressive market. hyundai and kia's quality and reliability is just as good or better than japanese cars. The Japanese even admit it, the Koreans are now their #1 most feared competitor.
