1. You can GRAB him out of his rolls, this is why pro abel players use it sparingly. And this is why smart people don't throw projectiles for one whole round against him.

2. Throws are unblockable ffs. Rolling is a way to get close. Grapplers are suppose to get close.

3. The Abel's you play are probably scrubs for doing only 2 moves. He has a great mix up game and pressure with his fmk. If you still opt to bitch tell me. Ill help..

Horrible music, horrible story, very generic gameplay, nothing interesting, all the combos are so basic and boring, and every time I look at videos for this game, all I see is repetition. Honestly the only reason I think this game gets so many fans is it's title. If people were to give other fights a chance, they'd realize "Wow, Street Fighter 4 is crap compared to these." Oh, by the way, Abel and El Fuerte aren't unique designs. I actually have longer and specific reasons to why it sucks.

I thought the rolling clips were funny, although I don't think Abel is bad to fight. No offense, (really) but why complain about a character's fighting style? You should just take the time to learn how to beat Abel. If he grabs, stay your distance. When he rolls, he is vulnerable to a nicely placed attack. I don't think anyone is really over powered, I think people like to complain when they have to put a little work into a fight. (I mean this with no offense, I'm not trying to get people mad)

Abel is one of the cheapest characters to fight against. Everytime he does his roll to throw to ultra or super and just about kills you. Rufus is the same way, sucks to fight with and cheap as hell to fight when he is CPU.

ok sry. just do alot more light attacks. most abel players forget to block on the way in, they just roll. light attacks have enough recovery time to stop that. also do alot of jumps whee you aren't doing anything, sticking otu your arms etc and teleport in the air.

Abel was specifically built to take advantage of SF4s mechanics and system.

Well. I'm a Abel player, so obviously I don't think he sucks. He's hard to play without unlike Ryu, Sagat, etc. I'm not saying Ryu and Sagat players are the worst or anything. I'm saying you can't just pick up and playing with Sagat and don't worry about anything if you play your zone. 1st off: Ryu and Ken are the most used characters because they're the simplest to learn.

2nd: I agree Akuma can be cheap if not used properly.

3rd: Some people (such as myself) hate using Abel because we can't quickly learn Abel strategies.

4th: I just hate Abel because all he ever does is fucking roll, fucking throw, or just plain pisses people the fuck off. SOME, notice how I said SOME people who play as him act the same way.

But really... if you watch tournament videos on you tube, the roll just does not cut it in high levels of play, in most cases the dash is much more affective. The spin grab may be useful if you can get it off, but once again it is rarely used in high levels of play. No the real nut grabber is his crouching hard punch into his ultra which can turn the game around in a fucking flash.
