  • it flew over my house 15min ago :D

  • Tain eh? very nice.

  • how many kiwi boys over there flying those things since we lost our beautiful skyhawks? :(

  • @blues03 You seem like the kind of american who isnt a bellend

  • OMG very nice sound!!!

Where was this video shot? USA?

  • @En11dj No, scotland.

  • HOW CAN THE PM JUSTIFY SACKING 1 or 2 SQUADRONS OF THESE JETS!!!???? FFS!! JOKER!!!

  • @DirtyHarry69a 800 newly qualified pilots copter, fj pilots, transport pilots, navs, all getting the sack! Unbelievable!

  • @MovieMad007 Its TOTAL MADNESS!! & scraping the Harriers!! Replaced by WHAT??? AND THE Ark Royal!! I tell u mate, I'm REALLY PISSED OFF!! He's taken the Great out of Great Britain.

  • @DirtyHarry69a mate be greatful ur not new zealand, dumb bitch prime minister scrapped our entire strike wing - we have NOTHING now, just old bell uh1 heli's and c130 herc's hahah

  • @toadecks SHIT! No way! Thats wank mate! WTF is it all about? CUTS? Bollox! u better hope western samoa don't invaid ya! LMAO u will be relying on Kiwi's & kakapo's 4 support! lol

  • @toadecks & they don't fly!!! lol

  • @DirtyHarry69a kiwis are some of the best pilots in the world mate :D they have all gone to the RAF because we dont have strike aircraft anymore..........

  • The Brits get it done the right way...Nice job...

  • for a tornado this not even very low. i've seen them in germany lower than that.

  • @robin6512 Who said he was trying to get as low as possible? take it for what you see, no one likes a know it all.

  • @stephenpprice excuse me. I did not made a comment on the clip I just said I've seen them flying lower than that. And yes no one likes a smartass. learn to read.

  • Those two birds had to be no more than 10 - 20 feet from the intake. Someone else saw that besides me right?

  • chavs

  • MAVERIIIIICK !!! ;)

  • i hate the hole US vs UK comments we are together do u realy think that we are going to get in a war against each other anytime soon

  • when you fly like that in a combat zone, you have some guts, because planes aren't immune to bullets! RAF for the win

  • tornado has nothin to improve on the us planes atall and it was built in uk not germany

  • @kratos32godofwar

Actually it was built in Germany, as well as the UK. Different parts of the aircraft come from different places.

  • great plane, but it has some work to do to match what the USA has.

  • @beergut111 Look up the results of Red Flag exercises throughout the 80's and 90's - you may change your mind.

  • @kierenmarie yeah ok, i was there....i know the facts...

    anything else?

  • Tornado and its Build in Germany ;)

  • @DolphLundgren23 and Warton(UK) and Turin

  • I wish to be there

  • Negative, Ghost Rider the pattern is full! ahahahahhaahah

  • @legu94pisa lol awesome great film great comment .

  • @legu94pisa You just made my day!!!

  • this is Maverick. requesting a fly by.

  • Negative, Ghost Rider, the pattern is full. ;-)

  • Fly-by request denied, proceed with landing

  • Lossie mouth Scottish airbase, the RAF use the Welsh mountians and Scottish mountians for practice. Although why this is cool is beyond me. High speed pass is low skill a stall turn in a Su -27 is high skill though!

  • did you see the video? a low pass at high speed is obviously cool, you moron. the amount of skill involved is irrelevant.

  • Ahh small things amuse small minds

  • so it's not cool because it doesn't involve a huge amount of skill?

  • Yes. Tell me of something that requires little or no skill that is "cool". Perhaps throwing flour over a relative for no reason is "cool" or amusing. Your channel is weak, poor, bereft of talent.

  • I never said that was cool. Nor do I ever upload videos. I never tried to be cool. Unlike you, who has obviously spent a fair amount of time making awesome animations. 320 channel views, fuck me. And there's me, the casual youtube user who uploads nothing, with way over double that. I was just saying to the original dork that this video was a Tornado flying a few feet above the ground at hundreds of miles an hour, which undoubtedly IS cool.

  • @spamtree Then we agree to disagree, a Tornado fly past, I can think of better ways to spend my time.

  • Very well then Sir. You didn't find this video mildly entertaining?

  • @spamtree As previously mentioned, not really no, I did mention the cobra stall turn, Su 27. you tube it, Lynx helicopter the only helicopter in production for many a year that can loop, C 130 stoop landing ALL these items are rare, UNUSUAL for an aircraft to perform. A GR4 which I think this may well be flying low level is a time killer at best banal at worst.

  • @ednuttah A Tornado doing its thing at low level IS cool....You need to check your pulse...Besides, if you dont like this stuff, then why are you watching it? But you are right, low level is not that skilful, but thats not the argument is it?.......ITS COOL.....Are cartoons usin Solid Works cool? dont thnk so. Fuck me, I draw in CAD all day..its a fuckin bind...I dont go home and say, fuck me, Ive had a really cool day.

  • @EnglishTurbines Mainly because I used to go to Conningsby for camps with the atc I was searching for 29F but this was at the top of the list. Whether or not this is cool is just opinion. I think its weak but I don't really care. Cartoons? If you WERE involved in any way shape or form with CAD you wouldn't call it cartoons. If you find it a bind change your job you fool.

  • @ednuttah As a lifelong Engineer I design stuff in CAD all the time, but its only just ONE of the things I do. I enjoy it, but its time consuming designing in metal. Making video clips using Solid Works is not my idea of fun at all, definately not cool. But then as you say...cool is just an opinion and I agree.....See... I didnt say Cartoon this time.... So, to sum up, if you think a GR4 is banal at low level, then fine. But others can have their opinion too...you said so yourself.

  • @EnglishTurbines You ENJOY CAD but you find it " a fuckin bind "? you make little to no sense.

  • @ednuttah I have to do the CAD stuff to get it made in metal, its the satisfaction of seeing my design come to life in metal afterwards that I enjoy, sorry didnt make it very clear did I....

  • Is that Tain Range by any chance?

  • Looks very much like the tower at Tain to me.

  • obviously u tard this plane came out like 20 yrs ago

  • My all time best aircraft! Then the Spitfire!

  • your brits make exelent aircraft

  • Beautiful aircraft and it has served the RAF well.

I'll be sad to see it go. Not to mention the Harrier.

    -usa

  • DREAM JOB!

  • Absolutely fantastic. Love it! TFS

  • was that filmed in Akrotiri Cyprus?

  • Italy is replacing their Tornado's with F-35's since Italy helped make the F-35. (So did the UK, and the U.S)

  • What a great ride.. and not to mention that solid smile :P

  • One of the most beautifull jets.

  • Sweet

  • edgarasc1,

2025 is the out of service date for RAF Tornado GR4s.

  • No, RAF Stands for royal air force

  • Royal Air Force

  • meaning what?

  • correct me if im wrong but that is RAF Tain the bombing range

  • What a wonderful plane...

  • awesome.

  • german bundeswehr?

  • I grew up around these, i actually miss the noise :P

  • Wicked?LOL Another wigger!

  • very nice, I love fighting jets. :)

  • what information do you base that conclusion on? as the Tornado is a very different roled aircraft to the Typhoon, and they are both very different to the role undertaken by the Falcon

  • What the hell would you know 'RifledBarrel' ? Spent a bit of time flying the Tornado and other fast jets have you ? Perhaps you're an experience test pilot and have an intimate knowledge of the flight test regimes of both the Tornado and F-16 ? Yes - No ? Is 'pile of shit' a technical term you use to describe the flight characteristics and battle space performance of each aircraft type ? I'd be interested to learn of you experience and technical qualifications ?? Over to you ...

  • no velocity suond

  • Dammit Maverick!!!!!

  • its because your in a place known as LF7 or low fly zone 7. You get alot of traffic just south of the snowdon park at a place called the mach loop.

  • NIce... I get this all the time in Mid-Wales (near Llanidloes, with Lyn Clewydog (or however it's written) right over the hill).

Seen a lot of F-15's recently though, as well as the usual Hawks and occasional Tornados, Harriers and Typhoons. Can anyone explain, please?

  • the reason for the F-15s is because there are USAF F-15Es stationed at an RAF base in england

  • was this in lossiemouth? i have been to the exact same place and stood exactly where you guys are standing! didn't have a low flyby though :( just watched some standard sorties.

  • i got treated to a low flyby at the head of the river tilt/Dee in the Grampians, couldn't have been over 60 of the deck, heard a faint whistle about 1.5 seconds before the fly over, then the thunder

  • Respects go out to the two RAF pilots that dead on the 2nd july 2009 in scotland. very sad and a great loss.

  • Yes, it is extremely sad to lose any member of the RAF, respects also to the families of the pilots who died on

    2nd July 2009

  • if you go into deep wales if your lucky you can see these praticing in the hills harriers and tornados

  • awesome....they busted a tower XD

    can't beat the RAF

  • Yo, the RAF has a pretty prestigious reputation, awesome Air Force you boys got. But Britain is a pretty powerful country to begin with anyway.

    American

  • Britain is a pretty powerful country, yes, but that was before they got invaded by the pakis (pakis living in britain)

  • @blues03 yup it sure is.....the next time you see an american you can thank him for that.

  • sexy jetfighters the tornados awesome

  • The Fly By

  • *Me in the cockpit*

    "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!"

  • americans got scared of su27 and su35 migg 33 they spent shit load for the f22 they dont even use the cunt they use fa/18 f15 16,

  • Well done the Tornado is decades old. What do you expect? Gives your country a little ego boost does it boasting that their state of the art planes are better than some of the oldest we have in service?

  • and has a completely different role then the tornado. Thanks for you pointless contribution.

  • I take it you're an American. We don't have as much money to spend on our Air Force as you do, but even though you may dwarf us in size, you have jack shit in terms of reputation. You never hear how the Americans bombed Dresden to the ground, how the Americans helped liberate the Falklands with bombing on Port Stanley, or the Americans bursting the Rhineland dams in the most famous bomber squadron ever, 617 Squadron. The RAF has done all of these, and has succeeded in all of them.

  • lol hes just upset that the US finally got on board with technology the russians have been using for decades :-)

  • amen to that! America is all for big show and dont care about the detail. Britain thought it out and actually took some time to be accurate before europe stuck its nose in and closed all the industry down

  • Well, though I'd prefer to fly for the home team (RAAF), theres no point denying that the RAF probably has the proudest history of any Airforce anywhere in the world. If it were as simple as "F-22 vs the rest", why would you operate the Harrier? Isn't that an old fighter, and designed by the UK? What your airforce has in size, it lacks in credibility, innovation and humility. You'd be surprised how your F-15 and famed Aggressor sqn fared against the aged SHAR

  • "f-22 is better and it's more expensive"

Comparing a fighter-bomber to a dedicated air superiority fighter is stupid.

  • An American air superiority fighter developed 20 years after the multirole Tornado is "better" and more expensive? Well, that's certainly surprising news! Do our country's already poor reputation a favor by smashing your network card.

As for the America-haters: continue conveniently forgetting those RAF F-4s (or RAAF F-111s/F-18s) you flew for years, daylight bombing over Germany, that minor Pacific Theatre sideshow, and the imminent RAF F-35 purchase.

Oh yeah, almost forgot ... great vid.

  • I'm not an 'America-hater', I never posted any hateful remarks. I haven't forgotten what we use, the F-111 is a bad example for your purposes though, but we've enjoyed the Hornet. I never said American aircraft were poor either, I merely pointed out that such a cheap comparison between aircraft can be made to the advantage of both, though meaningless. Also, by its very definition, the F-35 isn't an american fighter because of foreign contribution, not least of all BAE - a major design partner.

  • They are some good points, however, the F35 is a joint project with BAE contributing significant technological knowhow. Of course LM is the major contractor, but it is a little silly to suggest that the F35 is purely an American project. BTW the RN is looking at perhaps aquiring the dassault rafale instead of the overcost behind schedule F35.

  • Just tell a chip-on-the-shoulder Scot or Taff that they speak English, and nothing else. Then they'll REALLY hate themselves. No way out.

  • grinsebacke xD

  • shut up evialscotsman 1238 r raf owns ur shity scotish army

  • Considering the Royal Air Force is for the defence of the "United Kingdom" and Scotland is a part of that, You're insulting your own defence force .... Pretty much sums you up really.

  • Your a moron. Your are part of Britain then you say why do you have British troops stationed there. If Britain didnt exist and English troops were in Scotland then fair enough. So stop going on about it. Also another one of your own questioned you answered... Think its easy to pilot 30,000 tonnes of steel through water? Dickhead.

  • Its quite hard to see a submarine when your so many meters under the surface, and inside another submarine. It is quite hard to see through solid metal and open water... surprisingly.

  • "a mean they only weight 30000 tonnes only 300 feet long cant be that hard to see. "

They´re also hundreds of feet under water and so silent when they want to that you will have more luck finding them b searching of areas under the sea that are *quieter* than normal.

And see? Last time I checked, submarines did not have fucking windows.

  • You're an idiot.

  • I went to Tain with ATC but when we got there it was rubbish weather and all the Sqns from Lossie had cancelled flight plans there so..

  • I'm in the ATC! Its great fun ;)

  • *boner* ^^ love that damn jet o_o

  • seriously it was like hey look at me i was here i witnessed this everyday occurance. dipshits

  • Tornado's are pretty!

  • Have seen lower, but smart all the same

  • Its a bombing range up in the north of Scotland, called a TAIN range.

    Probably a civvie visit.

  • if ya look at 13secs in it looks like they could be on the outside of a control tower or some observatory sorta thing

  • Its called scottish you idiot

  • That was a flyby at medium altitude compared to what the Buccs used to do at Tain.

  • yeah yeah we will let him off hey theres too many people jump on ya on here whe u get something wrong lol

  • LOL yea! im sure some peeps just come to argue

  • is that the bombing range?

a no theres 1 at weinfleet but iv been told theres another witch you can see in themountains cus of a big target bord.

  • fukn jughead.. ofcourse a tornado can go supersonic, mach 2 at altitude. and no that flyby was nowhere near supersonic, if it was u wouldnt hear it till it passes the camera and when it does the shockwave would break the lens. fukn idiots

  • buss the tower u mean bust the tower its not local bus u know

  • think he meant buzz to be honest

  • that's the great thing about utube - full of people making bollocks statements - very amusing and great bullshit comments stormfox1 - gr8 stuff!

  • requesting permission to buss the tower

  • topgun..cool

  • swooosh

  • Good job man!!!!!!!!

  • lol

  • the best place ive seen this is at school coz its near a RAF bass and they show off to us and spin and come back and 4th on mondays we wnt to meet the guy who is flying it on a school trip and he says he makes us jump when he comes past real low and fast and he did it the folloing monday . its so cool

  • Was this at tain ranges near RAF Lossiemoth and RAF Kinloss ? i was at tain last week and we got 2 amazing flypasses 1 was 50ft above the tower !!

  • Aye, thats at Tain.

  • flying over land, by law an aircraft can only go supersonic over the sea, i also confirm the Tornado F2,F3,GR1,GR2,GR4 can all go Mach 2+ at altitude and mach 1.6 at seal level. I spent time working with tornados. You who seems to think the Tonka can't break the sound barrier is a clues moron who can't work with them as he hasn't the IQ or the credibility.

  • If he was supersonic you would have only heard it after it went past and the windows would have been blown out of the tower lol

  • definitely i agree the windows would have been blown out from the tower some planes are not suitable to brake sound barrier. maybe that one was supersonic but probably he didnt fly with top speed

  • no, the cruising speed of the f-22 is mach 2.4. And you don't need a special rod at the front of the plane. Where did u get your bogus info from?

  • "no, the cruising speed of the f-22 is mach 2.4"

Sorry, but no. Mach 2.4 is top speed with full afterburners. Top cruise speed for the Raptor is "just" Mach 1.7 or 1.8.

  • my bad dude, I got my info mixed up

I have learned more about the raptor since then haha

  • Mate ... you are just taking bollocks.

  • a special rod? what are you talking about? The f22 is supersonic.. most new planes can cruise at mach pretty easy now. You need swept wings so the shock waves don't rip it apart.. but never heard of a rod

  • lol your a dumbass dude, what the fuck would a rod do? like oh maw gosh does it sepewate the air fow da plane!?

  • That was the Tain bombing ranges!

  • the higher this plane goes the faster it goes air is less dense at 30000 feet and yes it does go super sonic

  • the higher you go the slower that sound travels making it slightly easier to travel faster than "the speed of sound" however even if you get a boom you may still not be traveling the speed of sound. bit this is such a small difference that in the scale of things it makes no difference.

the other factor is the higher you go the more difficulty your engine has supplying it's self with enough oxygen so the less thrust you get. so the higher the faster to but to a limit. + tornado has a great range

  • ha i love that amount of jip everyones givin this dude about mach 1 haha there still awesome no matter what speed they do

  • When they say that a Tornado is loud, believe me. THEY ARE LOUD.

  • Im studying for F16 Pilot now. Really awesome but tough.

  • I'd pay money to see a GR4 go at the speed of sound I really would. Fact is is wont!

  • how do you know it ain't supersonic?

  • Because his flying over land, by law an aircraft can only go supersonic over the sea, i also confirm the Tornado F2,F3,GR1,GR2,GR4 can all go Mach 2+ at altitude and mach 1.6 at seal level. I spent work with tornados. The bloke who seems to think the Tonka can't break the sound barrier is a clues moran who can't work with them as he hasn't the IQ.

  • Then why don't you look up Tornado GR4 on wikipedia and scroll down to specifications?

    Maximum speed: Mach 2.34, 2,417.6 km/h (1,511 mph)

  • If you wind the bloody windows up and ditch the girlfriend it will, I should know Im from hull!!!

  • Not capable of mach1? When you say you work on them...do you make coffee?

Tornado F3s are capable of mach 2.2.

  • you work on Tornado scale models?

  • lol nice one XD

  • He probably sniffs the glue...HAHAHA

  • flying over land, by law an aircraft can only go supersonic over the sea, i also confirm the Tornado F2,F3,GR1,GR2,GR4 can all go Mach 2+ at altitude and mach 1.6 at seal level. I spent time working with tornados. You who seems to think the Tonka can't break the sound barrier is a clues moran who can't work with them as he hasn't the IQ or the credibility.

  • 'Moran'? I think it's 'moron', guy. And I pretty much agree with ya on your sentiment. Personally, being biased as I am towards American jets, your Tornado is the only foreign jet I respect as much as them.
