You start with a wunderful majestic Rubato. After ca. 55 seconds the movement finds an aim (a repetitious phrase gives it more weight) and at 1:11 and 1:15 the

climax is reached with 2 quick passages, which then at 1:17 and 1:25 are counter-weighed with 2 jumping down passages leading to a final trill and a relaxing Exit: You told us the story of a happy Life with the sounds of a rare old bird (the "Cembalo"). Your interpretation of this prelude conveys the grandeur and majesty Couperin intended. Your use of inegal, the quality of ornamentation, and your interpretation in general are quite fine-and most certainly in the French sprit and tradition.
