Looks like that camcorder ended up working out for you. I've only been on this stretch of roadway once (been on the southwestern quadrant multiple times); almost forgot what it looked like. If you want some tips on how to get you going, please feel free to message me. Peace!
@FreewayBrent Thanks man! I'm definitely appreciating all the feedback. My only concern is hitting the right speed up factor with the video. Some of the freeway signs looked blurry at even 3X speed. Of course, it doesn't help when my driver is going way above the speed limit!
@rockersk08 the blurriness is not your camera. it is a motion blur setting your editing software is using in order to drop the overall frames per second on the finsihed video . which software are you using, i may be able to help you out by removing it if you wish?
@ScrewdUPClickV2 It's Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 11. I think the choice of render also has an effect, based on how many frames per second are used. I'll recheck the render templates when I work on another video.
@rockersk08 the easiest way to disable this is.. right click on the video clip in the editing timeline, go to switches, and click disable resample. this will remove all motion blur in the final video.
@ScrewdUPClickV2 Thanks! That worked perfectly. Comparing the two, I have to decide between clear freeze-frames or streamlined video now, because I like both. Maybe for the next vid, I'll upload two versions and see which one is preferred.
Absolutely a great video!! Looking forwards to seeing more of them! Have not seen that "northern" side of Clark County and the Vegas area until this video. I've been thru there on I 15 several times as well. Thanks again! Hoping to see more! Mark in Iowa.
That was a great video. It was full screen, clear and you kept the camera on the road. You didn't the shift the camera all over the place. God, I hate that. There is one thing though. When you have the information on the screen, it wasn't too clear with that greenish yellow color that you used. Make it a little darker, like use a dark blue, so the words stand out more. Other than that, excellent video.
awesome camera quality, very smooth and clear! Enjoyed the route, Never got to see much of it the 2 times i was there. I sent you a personal message. thanks for sharing with me.
@ScrewdUPClickV2 Appreciate the feedback! I'm still playing around with Sony Vegas, and I might be able to get a full bottom text box worked out for the next one.
.. great ride - thanks ..

Out of all the freeways in Nevada-- this is my favorite one right next to US-395 between Carson City and Reno.
