  • Um.... Can u tell me what tuning its in?

    Drop D drop C. What tuning O.o

  • @FinalDemolition its standard E tuning. it can be played with more or less the same in drop D though.

  • Nice video, I realy liked. You just got one more subscriber.

Sorry for the bad english, Brazillian here.

  • @josuas500 thanks so much man :) if there are any other lessons you'd like to see shoot me a message and i'll work on it

  • @marth922 yes play nightwish or Evanescence....they're good bands :)

  • @jarrettjarrell pretty much they are! Evanescence is only my favorate band of all times!!

  • @XxXxTomArayaxXxX what the heck man??

  • hey, whats up, I chatted with you a while ago, I waited and waited and I found a black cherry transparent jackson dinky lefty.....finally, its in a bad need for a set up but I got a great deal on it, its in great shape, its a humbucker with 2 singles....take care.

  • @chickabuka really?? ok now i'm jealous now! thats way cool man!

  • I have a basic acoustic guitar---not an electric :(

Any ideas to get the 'whammy' effect, or do I have to attempt a quick trill or something? 4:33

Great video, by the way :) It really helped

  • @Fantasia1001 just do a bend vibrato. just kind of roll the tip of your finger back and forth on the fret to get a slight whammy-ish sound.

    i'm glad i could help :D

  • Watched your video again, great quality for a still camera, The intro to this song is basic yet sounds so cool! Im going to work on learning it tonight. Found it impossible to find tab for this great song. Nice Jackson by the way!

  • @chickabuka thanks man. i love my guitar. i'[m a jackson die-hard. i hav this black dinky and just got a silver kelly. jacksons are my fave. i'm glad my vid could help you out by the way :)

  • @marth922 I was thinking of getting a lefty(me being a lefty) jackson dinky with a sustainiac pick up installed, the price was getting pretty expensive, be fortunate u arent a lefty like me, for every 300 guitars in a shop I am lucky if there are 3 "quality" guitars. still might get a dinky in the future , and not have a sustainiac pick up installed......They really have to tear the body up with a router. I have EMG's in my Les paul custom.EMG's are awesome Enjoy your weekend and keep rockin. G

  • In all seriousness, just a tip, put a cushion(small pillow) or foam next to the camera mic, didnt know it was a still camera, my fault....Try to insulate the mic slightly to trim down the highs a bit, still enjoyed your titles and graphics at the beginning. Very creative!

  • @chickabuka thanks i didnt know about that little trick. and thanks :)

  • I had high hopes for this lesson with the cool intro music and graphics, I hate to offend but dude are you playing your guitar through a tin can? get me some tylenol...stat!

  • @chickabuka well sorry! just cause i have a really bad camera doesnt mean you can make fun dude! i had to use my dads still cam on video mode. great image quality, but sucky audio.

  • You can always make a Part I and Part II. I actually got the song down just in the time i was watching your video, minus the missing parts. I can't find tabs online to fill it in with though :/

  • @pmcarlile cool i may just do that. :)

  • Transposing from standard to drop D isn't hard for those who want to give you a hard time. Anyway, are you going to add the solo and other guitar parts?

  • @pmcarlile thanks for the defence. :) ya maybe i will. its just having the time to video it and edit it together. but yeah, thanks for the suggestion!

  • Good attempt but these are not the correct notes or the correct tuning.

  • @AkiraSpectrum i'm pretty sure it is. i played it along with the song and it sounds exactly the same. is the song file that was given out free on their website at first a demo version or something? cause thats what i based the lesson off of.

  • @marth922 if you watch this video you will see john and ben recording the guitar parts. All of their guitars are in Drop D and the first guitar shown (the beige coloured guitar used by John is a baritone tuned to B standard).

video = "The Recording of Bury Me Alive - We Are The Fallen - Behind the Scenes"

  • @AkiraSpectrum oh wow i never noticed that. thanks for letting me know. all i know is that the way i tought in my lesson sounds the same so i'm not gonna be picky about it. maybe i'll do an updated lesson in drop d. i'm sure that tuning setup would be easier to play the song on anyways. thanks again!

  • You say "umm" and "uhh" a lot. xD

  • @KriztalKannibal thats so messed up...

  • sounds like a rammstein riff you're using during the title cuts

  • @xps28 its actually the intro riff to i wish i had an angel by nightwish. but yeah it does kind of sound rammstein-ish.
