Wonderfully done!!! This is the sort of thing that should be done, after all he travels through time and space, so of course story should be taken back through his incarnations and its not like the writers are going to know hat is going to happen several Doctors later. It is the current generation that has to build the backward links in the story. Love it!

i've seen that episode, and that wasnt in the original episode. also, the screen on the original tardis was much smaller and above the door.

Oh, how I laughed... I would've been totally on board with making this officially canon for the hilarity of it, were the "UK GOLD" logo in the Hartnell parts and not on the clip of the screen...
