  • In Dan9:24 the transgression refers to the 4th kingdom (Dan 8:23). There is not yet an end to transgression, nor an end of sins, nor has there been made reconciliation for iniquity, nor has there been brought in everlasting righteousness, nor has there been sealed up the vision and prophecy, which is of YHWH's kingdom (Dan 2:44, Isa66:15). For a proper breakdown see TheAfrican(dot)Com(slash)BHC(dot)pdf, starting at p. 34. But really you should start at the beginning of Chap. IV.

    - Malachi

  • Israel rejected "Christ" "The only acceptable sacrifice, God will "never"bend to Israel's rejection; temple sacrifices will never be acceptable "ever". Dan.9 24-27 Jerusalem rebuilt in troublesome times Neh4:16 "unto" Messiah, which was cut off (crucified) the (new) covenant confirmed for 1 week (a generation) in that generation sacrifices/oblations ceased, Jerusalem destroyed by prince (Cesar), flood makes it desolate til end (days) overspreading of temple is til Christ consumes/bound devil, EZ

  • i did not know about that curse...figures some such thing would exist.

but also, if you look at matthew 24, there is an additonal meaning to dan 9:27...this interpretation is correct, but there seems to be a future prophetic week as well...

    btw, what song/musician is that?

  • Daniel 9:27 has already been fulfilled.

The backgroung music is called "maroon riddim".

  • well, daniel 9:24-27 has been partially fulfilled with the first coming of Christ...but what still needs to be completely fulfilled is the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet...

    (Matt 24, Dan 8:11-14, Dan 11:31-33, Dan 12:11-12, Dan 9:27)

  • The "abomination of desolation" spoken of in Dan.9:27 and Mt.24:15 are NOT the same "abominations" spoken of in Dan.11:31; 12:11. The "abomination of desolation" spoken of in Dan.9:27 and Mt.24:15 was fulfilled in 70 A.D. with the temple destruction. The Greek Septuagint reads, " on the temple shall be the abomination of desolation.." (Dan.9:27). The best translation would be, "...upon the wings of abomination, a desolator shall come.." Crucifixion=abomination; Temple destruction=desolation.

  • well why would Jesus say specifically, "the abomination of desolation spoken of BY DANIEL the prophet."?

  • In Mt.24:15, Jesus is referring specifically to Dan.9:27, I believe 11:31 and 12:11 to be different "abominations" than the "abomination" in Dan.9:27. If we look at Mt.24:3, we notice that Jesus is answering two questions: 1) when the temple destruction will occur,

    2) when will be His 2nd Advent.

I believe v.15-20 is focusing mainly upon the temple destruction of 70 A.D.

  • Why annointing the Living Messiah with the Holy Ghost after all Christ himself is one of the Thre Higher Beings which we called Gods of the Heavens. He even told his desciples that it was important that He himself had to go back to Hi Father in Heaven in order for the Holy Ghost to come as His replacement and Comforter?

  • For Yah so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son... John 3:16

  • lazbo, What does this passage really mean? Does God indiscriminately love everyone in the whole wide world without exception? If Jesus died for the sins of all mankind, He died for people already burning in hell and those God forsaw would reject the gospel. World here means gentiles as well as Jews and not Jews only. See how the believing Jews with Peter were astonished in Acts 10:45. See Galatians 3:28,29 cf Romans 9:6-8 God loves His elect alone but gives all mankind good crops, health, etc RLJ
