  • im going to try this

    thanks x

  • from where and what number is the big brush you use in this video?...ive been looking one as big as that one!

  • @123marangy its Sigma F20

  • How you not ruin your eye make-up?? I tried it this morning before I even put mascara on, and my eyeliner was all smudged! HELP!

  • @applesauceypopperson let your mascara dry before you spray it

  • This works beautifully thanks for sharing!

  • I tried this today and its AHHHhhmazzzing!!! I used my UD settng spray & MUFE HD powder! Thank u for sharing!

  • @misfit224 woohoo!

  • I have the MAC Prep+Prime Finishing powder; it is fabulous

Congrats on almost 60,000 subscribers Michele :)

  • @symmetricalastic thank you!

  • Okay, I tried this today and I'm very impressed! I have very oily skin, I'm half way trough the day and don't even have to blot yet. Thanks for sharing for sharing this!!

  • @Shavlinder glad to hear it!

  • Oh never mind, I saw you addressed that! Sorry!

  • Do you know what the difference is between the set powder & the prep + prime powder? It seems like they do the same thing.

  • Great tip! Can't wait to try it myself.. However, I have heard that Mac Fix+ isn't really a formulated "setting spray" (like UD or Skindinavia's) and rather a skin refresher with minerals (eg Evian)

  • I like ELF Makeup Mist N Set, with a mineral foundation and mineral veil from Pumpkin and Poppy cosmetics. :)

  • Oh and I LOVE the way you do your makeup! Don't ever change your style! I hate when people have nothing better to do than give negative feedback/comments.

  • @Crystalg1023 thanks girly! No worries, I wouldn't change for anyone! And don't pay mind to those internet trolls, I sure don't ;)

  • Thanks for the tip, Michele! I tried this out today and loved the results! I personally don't like translucent powder, so I used the MAC Sheer/Loose Powder and it worked great! :)

  • @Crystalg1023 yay! Glad to hear it!

  • Thanks for this tip my makeup comes off like an hour after being at work and I work 12 hour days 5 days a week! Your awesome :)

  • the laura mercier loose powder is amaze!!!!!!!

  • Plain old water (or something like Evian spray) does the same thing; though, I've always used it after powder, and no additional setting powder. It's definitely cheaper, and no chemicals involved. :)

  • I've always heard that fix+ doesn't actually set your makeup it just makes it look less cakey.

  • fix + has parabens :( i loved it though

  • Have you ever tried the ELF HD translucent powder?

  • @RitaMil27 Not yet!

  • Totally gonna try. Great idea:)

  • you're eye makeup looks beautiful here. I like that you're having a break from the taupe/grey/brown colour on your lid and crease. I like the light pinkish colour on the lid and the cool brown in the crease. Looks amazing.

  • I do the same and it really helps

  • Great tip Michele!! I tried this out today, and it worked like a charm =D For the 1st time in a long time, I didn't have to touch up my makeup for the entire day! WOOT!

I don't actually have any setting spray, so I just used my Clinique moisture surge face spray and it worked just fine. The only thing I noticed was that I should have sprayed my face before applying mascara....

    Thank you as always!! <3

  • @duorei glad to help!

  • What is the number on that Sigma powder brush?

  • Your blush looks fantastic! Your makeup really looks beautiful!

  • thanks michelle so helpful......

  • In disbelief* sorry i cant type on ipads very well lol!

  • Michele i watched this yesterday and tried it today with my fix plus and my elf hd powder that i never really use and you are SO RIGHT. I. Dosbelie

  • @Celine6890 YAY! So happy to hear that!

  • Tried this routine today! After a long day at work, my makeup is still intact! Thanks for the tip.

  • @michlletina woohoo!

  • great tips! & i love your necklace!! what model is it?

  • @ShopaFashionista its the Elsa Peretti Diamonds by the Yard

  • Fix+ is not a setting spray! I work for MAC and recently went to a master techniques class taught by a MAC Resident Trainer and he stressed to all the artists that it will not set your makeup... it's basically a hydrator or used to take away that powdery face look.

  • Fix+ isn't a setting powder though :S It's just a refresher spray.

  • I love the blush! Rock it girl:)

  • thanks michele for answering my questions always ........u are only one of the few who are so sweet and answer my question .......i love ur videos

  • @michman27 Thank you! I am always happy to!

  • @petrichor711 Hahaha love this.

  • do you use fix+ before mascara but after eyeshadow? Or after your face makeup and before eye makeup? If I use it after I do my mascara I get total panda eyes! I have fix+ but I'm not really sure how to take full advantage of it!

  • @VivaLaDecadence It is my very last step......I do it after mascara and eyeshadow. Just be sure your mascara is dry before you spray your face

  • Haters gon' hate, potatoes gon' potate. Do your thing Michele!

  • thanks for sharing this tip. And your make up looks great!!!

  • Michele, I am 60 years old and I have to say I appreciate your videos! You are so easy to watch. You don't take yourself sooo serious either. This is a great tip. I get it! Best wishes, Cheryl

  • @4evryoung58 Thank you Cheryl!

  • Thanks for the tip Michele! I always use fix+ and have also been a little bothered by the dewey finish this time of year so I will definitely be giving this a try, you look absolutely stunning by the way (as usual!) xo

  • I just wanna say that it's amazing how Michele takes time to answer to everyone's question. So, I just wanna thank you for being that nice and wish you all the best :)

  • @inesmmcosta thank you! Same to you!

  • Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like when I use a liquid or cream foundation, when I do set it with a kabuki or powder brush, i feel like the foundation is coming off. even with cream blushes, so I try to steer clear from them. Are there any tips/tricks to making it stay on when I place powder on top? Should I wait like 5 minutes or something? I usually put my makeup on in one sitting.

  • @marpee06 maybe try setting your foundation with the spray and than powder over it / blush etc. Also make sure you aren't using a lot of foundation...you may be using too much and thats why it isn't setting into your skin

  • @michele1218 tried your tip out today and it worked! thanks so much for the help! and setting spray technique works too! :)

  • @marpee06 Yay! Happy to help!

  • @marpee06 I had the same issue, and now I pat the powder very lightly with a brush; instead of brushing it in.

  • @DiDDyLiCiOUz thanks for the tip! I'll definitely try it!

  • @marpee06 Set it with a sponge. Big fluffy powder brushes are meant to brush away excess powder, not apply powder. Take powder onto a sponge and kind of press/roll it onto your skin and you won't be wiping it off. That's the way powder is truly meant to be set.

  • @TGIFtomorrow Will do! Thanks so much for the help!

  • @marpee06 Try using a puff and pressing a small amount of powder onto your face. Swiping or brushing motions will move the foundation around and wipe the powder right off of your face instead of setting the makeup(which is what powder is used for). A puff will lock it into place and really push the powder into the skin. Then use a powder brush to knock off the excess. Hope it helps. I like velour puffs the best.

  • @ClareGuinevere I'll definitely try this technique out! Much appreciated!

  • Hey Michele! So I don't use a powder to set my foundation, I use just translucent powder. So do I spray on the fix+ and use the powder again? I love the results. I always have a problem with my foundation lasting all day because I'm up at 5 and don't take my makeup off until 9 or 10 at night....I know... so bad... lol, but I can't help it! hehe. :)

  • @marpee06 i have the same issue .......eheheheheheh

  • @marpee06 Its worth a shot!

  • Your eyeshadow looks so beautiful. All your makeup does, actually. I really love it!

  • Totally trying this tomorrow! I use fix + to wet my Sonja Kashuk sponge (doesn't work with the Beauty Blender at all though). I really think the finish looks so natural when I use Fix + over the Skindinavia sprays. Also, I'm filming a perfume video tomorrow. :)

  • @Jannabelle126 AHHHHHHH!!!! I cannot wait to see your face!!!

  • chanel bag review please michele i love your videos : )

  • could you do chanel bag review

  • As always I love your videos! Very informative and gives me a reason to go shopping. TY :)

  • This sounds awesome!!! Gonna try it today :)

  • So awesome, thanks Michele 'cause I just purchased a mini bottle of the fix plus and I had no idea at what step I should use it. So I was using it as the final step as a finishing spray but to let it dry and then put on my powder sounds good. I'll be trying this tomorrow!!

  • Thank you! I always learn something new from your videos

  • Just spend 5 minutes looking for the luckyducky comments...now finally time to watch the video :D

  • I wear a lot of blush and I love it! Your makeup is always beautiful, Michele.

    Love from Denmark :)

  • I'll try it very soon

  • great tip!! definitely going to try it :)

  • thanks for sharing ur trick !

  • great tips!

  • Great video!

  • great video as always thanks!!!

  • ok so this shud apply for setting foundation so that it dsnt transfer too? im having an issue w/that. I dnt like powder to set cuz it makes me look dry..n so when i like use a napkin it transfers alot or on the collar of my shirt n its annoyin...feels like im wearin a mask n im self conscious...yikes!

  • @charity0009 I think having foundation transfer on white is inevitable no matter what you do. This is moreso so the makeup doesn't fade or wear off your face

  • You are so BEAUTIFUL! You do NOT need to change the way you do anything! Thanks so much for taking time and creating these awesome vids! ♥

    ~Lorena♥

  • @gerazlobita Thanks Lorena!!

  • Do you still like the physicians formula powder in the Orange case you just told us about recently ? How do you use that in your makeup routine?

  • @cravemomma I do, I*m just trying to use up my MAC powder. I would use the Physicians Formula powder the same way I use the MAC

  • Comment removed

  • great video idea.. Always wondered how it stayed since you don't use primers ;)

  • I have read the comments about your eyeshadow Michele. The first thing I noticed when your video started was something was different about you. Then I realized your eye shadow was different. My first impression was, you have the kind of look a person has when they have just awakened a bit ago and had very restful sleep. You have a very fresh, healthy, relaxed, well- rested look. Who wouldn't love that. I am going to try to do my eyeshadow like this. Thanks! Variety is a good thing.

  • @musicboxpizza Thank you!

  • The spray looks like it would be very refreshing too. These days thanks to you, I have become very aware of chemicals in products. So I am wondering how good it is to inhale the spray; especially in the small space you are in. I am so thankful to you; without your videos I would not know about products like Sibu and LaVanila. I am getting ready to order my first seabuckthorn oil.

  • What brush is that again?

  • @lialauren87 F20 from Sigma

  • Greeeat now I gotta look for this luckyduck idiot.

  • @jessesgirl760 Hahaha I said the same thing!!

  • Thank you for this! I occasionally use fix plus and bare minerals mineral veil is my HG setting powder but I've never thought to do this!! Will try tomorrow!!! You are awesome! :-)

  • Is it weird that I'm really excited for your wedding?? haha

  • @elyse6688 No way! Just one of the many reasons why i have the best subscribers EVER!

  • Oops.... Didn't care for the dewey look. Gonna try the setting powder trick tomorrow! Thanks!

  • I use fix+ to spray my eyeshadow brush before applying shadow. Then I found out what fix+ was really for! Lol. I too didn't care of

  • I recently rediscovered my Fix+, too. I never would have thought of topping it off with a setting powder though. Must try! Thank you for sharing.

  • LOVE these products Michelle!

i have both and i must say they are great!

thanks for sharing this video with us :) xoxo Cynthia

  • @egollihue27 I had the same problem! I started using regular mascara and it didn't smudge. I love cover girl lash blast regular and it never smudges even in my oily skin.

  • @starbuck221 huh, I'll have to try that! Although it's odd because you would think a regular mascara would smudge not a waterproof haha thanks so much for the advice!

  • lol i just found my fix + too and it was in my refrigerator next to my salad dressings lol

  • I have the urban decay spray! So I'll definitely be trying this tomorrow morning

  • your hair looks great! love you michelle and I hope you have an amazing wedding day!

  • I think your makeup looks fine in this video despite what that one person said! Hahahaha. Love you and your videos!

  • Very helpful. I've been using just the setting spray and will be adding the finishing powder now. Thanks for this tip. :)

  • Love your videos, makeup, and all the time you put to answer us. Also love how down to earth you are. You ate going to look fab in your wedding! Hugs.:-D

  • @TheCathym07 Thank you SO much!

  • Michele! I have a problem..not so much with making my foundation last but at the end of the day I always have black smudges under my eyes! I stopped wearing bottom eyeliner to hope to prevent it but it didn't work. I always wear waterproof mascara and wear under eye concealer and set it with a powder. HELP!

  • @egollihue27 I would change up the powder you use under your eye to something very light and translucent. Also be sure your undereye area is very hydrated

  • ooo, thank you. i'm always trying to find a way to make my foundation last. good tip!

  • I don't think ur wearing too much blush. :)

  • So you powder your face, set it with the fix plus spray, then powder it again?

  • what a great tip! :-)

    I love Fix +!

    TY Mich!

  • Hi Michele. What is your skin type?

  • @MsGirlyGlitter normal to dry

  • I definitely need to look into that setting powder. I need my makeup to last ALL day long with my job ( as most women do) lol. I agree with you about the elf powder... It gives of a white/gray cast. Thanks so much! Have a good one!

    Xoxo Katie

  • @luckyducky26 nah, I like it this way ;)

  • @luckyducky26 wow, the fact that this bothers you so much is just SAD. Its my makeup on my face....chill out girly! I happen to like it-you don't have to but I am certainly not going to do my makeup how you tell me to, LOL. I'm sure yours is perfectly blended....so why are you so worried about mine, haha

  • @michele1218 you're awesome Michele!!!!

  • @michele1218 LOL, great attitude.

  • I'm so checking out that set powder! I really like the elf complexion perfection, so I can't wait to try the mac setting powered in invisible... I think that's what it's called! :P thank michele! beautiful and informative as always!

  • @Sparklemepink22 Thanks girly

  • How are you planning on doing your wedding makeup? I'd love to know! Are you going somewhere to get it done or do you know someone personally?

  • @Britt1694 I am having someone that I know personally do it-she is amazing!

  • Do a tutorial on your eyes in this video. They are amazing.

  • Your eyebrows look perfect! I've been growing mine out for a while now...hope they can look similar to yours someday!

  • @ShaGLAM1 Growing mine out was always the hardest part...but once you do the rest is easy! Hang in there girl!

  • hi michelle :) i love your eye makeup in this video and thanks for the awesome tip!

    - sincerely,

a loyal subscriber who came to watch this video for its purpose instead of making pointless comments

  • @lindayy95 hehe thank you!

  • I like your blush! I LOVE blush. I think you look great. Thanks for the tip. I'll dig out my fix + :)

  • @luckyducky26 Meh, it's not on your face. I'm not sure why you need to comment on it. I think it looks cute, anyway.

  • @luckyducky26 Nice try troll, cut crease is the use of dramatically differing color at the crease (whether artificial or natural) to create definition. There is no specified blending, and it's entirely up to the artist.

And I'd say that your "blend blend blend your eyeshadow please! ahhhh" is the definition of spazzing. Why repeat yourself without reason? Exclamation point and the "ahhhh" is pretty telling.

Are you a Beauty Guru with highly rated videos? I think not. Get over yourself.

  • Woohoo! I have both of these products! I'm going to do this in the morning!

  • you look lovely! tutorial please :)

  • LOL i've actually started doing this like 3 days ago... WEIRD....

  • Thanks for the tip! ;)) xo & ♥ K

  • good idea michele- I've done similar with my lush toners, and works great too :)

  • Thanks for this tip def going to try it!

  • @luckyducky26 . . . idiot. Notice the blending between the lower lid and the crease. The starkness of the cut crease is a great change from the over blended mud you see out there.

There is NO set way to do one's makeup, you spazzing about the blend bs really really annoys when makeup is about artistry and individuality.

  • Thanks Michele, great tip!!

  • makeup tutorial please please please!

  • Thank you for putting that wonderful tip out there. I love the way your skin looks and that really is sweet of you to share with us viewers. I definitely think you should do that for your wedding day your skin looks so good on camera, I am sure it will also photograph well. Thanks again.

  • Do you still use the Guerlain Meteorites? I'm interested in purchasing them when I'm finished with my current powder

  • @themakeupkitten Yes I do, I*m currently trying to use up my Studio Fix powder but I do still use and love the Meteorites!

  • @luckyducky26 Oh, I'm so sorry! I thought you were just being rude, but now I realize your infinite wisdom. Michele should apologize for making you sit and stare at her eye makeup for 6 minutes and you should be so glad that you've shown us all the error of her ways. Maybe you could make a video that shows us how beautifully you do YOUR cut crease! I'm so glad you've shown us the light, luckyduck! Now we can all find true peace and happiness.

  • thanks girl!! =))

  • I'll try this! I'm on a back to Mac mission, lol, to finish up products. I love the smell of original Fix+ and have a new one waiting but I'm making myself use up the rest of a Fix+ w Lavender. I don't like the smell as much but I'm vowing not to waste it.

  • I think your blush is always beautiful. Not sure what anyone would be complaining about.

  • You remind me of Mila Kunis. Gorgeous Michele! :)

  • great tip!! i need to try this!

  • OMG! I am doing the exact same trick with the fix + also but i use my hd powder instead and it works wonderfull! I have an extremely oly skin and this is keeping my face from looking too oily trough out the day, i love it!

  • Hey Michelle! If you have dry skin, would you still recommend setting your makeup with powder?

  • @sjoshi1988 it depends on the liquid foundation you use....as long as your skin isn't oily you may not need to set it!

  • GORG!

  • Have u tried the elf hd powder?i love it

  • @CGLiz not yet!

  • who's doing your makeup for your wedding? could you please do a video on tips for choosing a makeup artist for weddings or other events??

  • @chrispybelles its someone that has done makeup on me for years....I don't really have tips, I*ve just always loved her work...I*m sorry

  • @luckyducky26 I agree. I thought I was the only one that noticed that lol.
