I have no doubt you and your small group of friends are loyal to the classics, and that's great, but it's a big planet, and numbers have proven that in the here and now, the majority of people, especially the young ones, go to see remakes, and almost all of them are not even aware that what they are watching is a remake.

Stupid or not, they spend money. That's all the studios care about.
