  • This scumbag endorsed Newt.

  • Bob Barr voted for the fucking Patriot Act. Just because he calls himself a libertarian doesn't mean he is one.

  • he looks like a white herman cain

  • Bob Barr is not a libertarian, what a fucking joke...

  • It's stupid they won't have the libertarians included in the debates. Everyone should get an equal shoot at expressing their views. If libertarians got heard more maybe people will adopt some of the ideas they have. Like abolishing the fed and ending the drug war and at least legalizing marijuana, if not all drugs. I hope are country moves more towards our founding fathers views of less government and a free market with maximum personal choice. Enough with this liberal fascism we are heading to.

  • Bob Barr is an idiot. Voted for Iraq. Voted for Patriot Act. Still believes US should be the world police.

  • @Trimbler00 he really voted for those WOW and he calls himself a libertarian???

  • @MrTibbs78

He repented of those. Give him a break.

  • Bob Barr is stealing votes, he is not a libertarian. He does believe in corporate power, but he doest want to legalize any drugs, also wants to fight wars which is impossible when trying to lower taxes. He was trying to steal votes from the democrats.

  • @1yearyounger Actually, he has come out against marijuana prohibition and the U.S. Iraq war, as well as the Patriot Act. He's an independent because he is no longer the brainwashed republican he once was.

  • @BucksStudent I hope so, or maybe he is just saying that as a political move. Either way i don't like him, I would prefer a democrat as a libertarian nominee because they tend to be more about civil liberties and less about business liberties, which im against.

  • @1yearyounger I don't like Democrats of Republicans - Bob was probably feeling guilty over the money Exxon pays him and the rest of our one party nation and decided to stop some greed.

  • I volunteered for the Libertarain Party in 08 here in PA and supported Barr full fledged...until I did some deeper research. I found that Barr is not, has not and will never be a Libertarian. I wasn't old enough to vote, but I retracted my support of Barr and supported Chuck Baldwin.

  • @UberNoob33- Agreed. Look at this guy's record. Most of it is voting straight Republican and later saying "Oops, I messed up". It's like he just changed parties for a new start. I'm a proud Libertarian and never really trusted this guy. We can put better candidates in there then Bob Barr.

  • bob barr for president!! prosecute war criminals bush and obama now!!!!!!!!

  • Glenn Beck is rich. So say otherwise is fucking retarded.

  • Beck stop saying you are a Libertarian! You are a closet Neocon!

  • - Support of free-market economy, minimal taxation, & gov regulation

    - Strict limits on government welfare programs

    - Government policy respects traditional institutions such as religion and family

    - Suspicious of international institutions (United Nations) whose authority would intrude on American sovereignty

    - The United States should take an active role in world affair and support large defense

Aside from the last 1, who isn't a NeoCon. Oh FYI, the NeoCon slander was created by a Socialist.

  • @rmccay88 SCREW YOU. How DARE you call him a neo-con!!

  • @ladistar

He voted for the Patriot Act. Need I say more?

  • @rmccay88 25 years ago..I was just like him. A very conservative neo-con Republican. Now...I am the most fervent Libertarian that you will ever meet and have been for 25 years!

I voted for Ron Paul in '88!

I have seen Barr apologize for his past votes on the Patriot Act, The Drug War, and Foreign Intervention...That is good enough for me.

I cannot ever recall a politician apologizing for any vote they have ever cast...ever!

There were better choices but he got the nod from the LP.

  • @countrysamurai

That's good that you changed though, 88 was the year I was born haha. I use to be a Neocon by accident, I didn't even know what the hell one was because I watched Fox all the time (Ouch, I know). Thankfully I wised up and saw through it after I discovered Paul. It took me a little bit of time to be a Libertarian because some of the positions at first (hell a lot even) are "outside the mainstream view" but when you study the history, you see they are on the money.

  • @rmccay88 Thanks...I am glad you came around as well.

    Ron Paul 2012

  • Whoops! Major flaw in his statement about less taxes means more money stays in the hands of share holders and also referring to those share holders as "average americans"!?????

Since WHEN is the average American a share holder? Anyone who cannot get past that ideology is out of touch with at least 60% of the country.

Anyone nowadays that can actually afford a family vacation, retirement savings AND investments on the side (even in the form of their 401k) has not begun to understand average peopl

  • Ron Paul would have been a much better candidate. Barr, in my opinion, has a damaging persona (the way he talks about issues makes him sound like too much of a politician, rather than someone who could actually establish a logical and rational-thinking government)

  • This was Bob Barr in 2008 and it is 2010 now. But it is interesting that he was for more off shore drilling at the time. I guess that is still how he feels today.

  • @hnbbs America needs the oil, duh!

  • I think Barr should have won. Since Reagan, I don't think awy of our Presidents have understood the Constitution---Barr does.

  • In regard to the "Define rich" question, my answer is when you make $1 million a year or more.

  • Barr should have won. I took the Nolan Chart Test and came out very close to him. I think the Libertarians chose a great canidate. Two awesome men.

  • Bob Barr is black.

  • RON PAUL 2012!! Spread the word, the revolution has begun. The power belongs to the people!!

  • Point is Bob Barr is for the people of the country; fuck his and all other politcal parties. It's about the people, he gets it and so does everyone else who actually understands the U.S Constitution.

  • is this guy supposed to be a libertarian? what an idiot.

  • Glenn Beck is a religious idiot.

  • Bob Barr is the guy on Borat ate some cheese from Borats wife's boobies haha

  • @choochooherecomes

Please don't post any more comments online until you actually have something worth saying.

  • @kablooy1 I think that is worth saying, it was rather funny for everyone in England. Have you even seen the movie, if you don't think it's funny you either have no sense of humour, or you are too interested in politics to find it funny?

  • John Stossel should go for president.

  • bob barr hasnt said a single thing in the first five minutes that is a libertarian viewpoint.

  • @Bigredcfr Yeah he's got kind of a neo libertarian half assed thing goin on

  • glenn beck says hes a Libertarian now

I dont buy it!! nor do i buy that Bob Barr is a libertarian now.

  • Neither do I. He's a Mormon. And most of the people in that church are conservatives. Beck was cool at CNN but this year at Fox he went from promissing start to being a traitor. Bob Barr sounds like a nice guy though.

  • thats an unfair stereotype because im a mormon and from personal experience there are several liberal members as well as moderates. i voted for barr by the way.

  • democrats are communists, just with a democracy

  • funny that the republican ron paul is more of a libertarian the the libertarian candidate bob barr

  • lol. Ron Paul is a Libertarian from the word GO. He ran for president on the Libertarian ticket in the past. Bob Barr, hmm...maybe he is waking up or maybe he just wants to stir things up. Who knows.

  • Call Bob Barr what you will, but I voted for him and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Compared to the Republican and the Democrat that were on the ticket, Bob Barr was the only sinceable choice.

  • Of course, you could have voted for Ron Paul.

  • I probably would have, if he was running. To be quite honest, I don't think Ron Paul really knew what he wanted to do in the last election. Then again, I could be wrong.

  • he knew what he wanted to do but most of the stuff he couldn't

  • "pedophiliacs" are evil?

How dare you insult my people, Barr!

To think I voted for you.

  • glenn beck is on the payroll.......

  • WOW so this glenn guy is not going for MCcain or obama ?? is he really that smart ?? how much as been since this interview he still thinking the same ?? BE INDEPENDENT BE A TRUE AMERICAN BE SMART

  • Barr, you make me sick! You called for Clinton's impeachment before you got busted by Larry Flynt for the same damn thing you accused Clinton! When is the Lib party going to stop housing rejects from the Democrat & Republican parties and find a real candidate that can win? Who's next to join, John Edwards?? Sen.Mike Gravel should have won the nomination. It is disgusting that Barr became the nominee and this is why no one takes the 3rd party seriously anymore!

  • More like, "Let's not repeat history yet again and show the world that we are a country of nation-building, interventionist, unconstitutional bullies who have no problem using our troops to police the world and overthrow governments we don't approve of, even when those governments have been elected democratically by their own people."

  • To not finish this war would be another war where we surrendered. Vietnam was bad enough; let's not repeat history yet again and show the world that we are a nation of cowards!

  • Yeah, let's not repeat the Fall of Saigon.

  • Barr, be president now! We are a fucking stupid country. Why would we not consider someone that is so head and shoulders above the other two candidates?

  • Barr is Awsome! VOTE BARR 08'!!!!

  • Why can't we have 2 presidents? One for economy and one for the rest.

  • Because that is what Congress is for. And besides, if a president does their job right, they don't have much internal bs to deal with. That is the states problem. The president is supposed to be our representative to the world.

  • Good job Mr. Barr. Vote Libertarian in Nov. Let the brainwashed two party masses know that they have a real choice this year.

  • Glen B will vote for whomever his pimp tells him to (probably Obama or McCain).

  • lol, he likes Bob Marley, that is shocking.

  • i would love to have him as our president

  • If the interview is actually 40 minutes, why is there eight minutes of black at the end?

  • That California tax would only help if they want Bill Gates to move.

  • i'm for it, get that nerd out of here

  • He's right about Libertarian being more of a mindset than a party. It stands alone from liberal/conservative, democratic/republican in that EVERY citizen of our country should be Libertarian! Unfortunately we are demonstrating, as a nation, that we are fully prepared to sacrifice our personal liberties for negligible gain of security. "Those who sacrifice their liberty for security deserve and will receive neither." -Ben Franklin.

  • lmao "What about the first (amendment) if you didn't have the first you couldn't claim that your favorite was the second"

  • Ron Paul doesn't support banning pornography.

  • does baldwin? sorry im pretty uninformed about baldwin.

  • Bob Barr is a genious man! haha the fact that the last 4 digits in most of his phone numbers is 1776 is just so cool!

  • Why is his rating from the NRA that important. The gun issue is not even close to our most important priority, holy shit.

  • Can The Chuck Norris meme just end.

  • hahah Temple of Obama

  • I like his VP nominee better

  • He is exactly the samew as the GOP. He has an interventionalist foreign policy.

  • Bob Barr creeps me out.

  • barr, you lying scumbag

  • HAHAHA!!! ¨is Russia evil?¨ You call yourself a journalist, Beck?!

  • im afraid its too late. america´s gone, the world is next.

  • Wait, did Barr just say we should go after people who WANT to do us harm overseas (3:03)? How is Barr any different? Why should we go around the world picking fights with people who don't like Americans? Isn't that what we're already doing? Bob Barr is not a Libertarian! Vote Chuck Baldwin, he is more in line with Ron Paul's ideas, and even campaigned with Ron Paul. CHUCK BALDWIN 08

  • We didn't pick a fight. Granted, we made a mistake in the way we carried things out. However, no one can disagree that 9/11 did prove that terroism had gotten to large and too complex to simply ignore. What we need to do know is at least finish what we started and then leave well alone until, like Bob stated, a serious threat to the U.S. is evident as well as our allies.

  • How do we finish? How many more people have to die and how much more money do (or CAN)we spend?

  • Did we ask these same questions in either WWI or WWII? No.

I don't want to see people die just as much as you. However, war was never said to be easy and not all enemies can be taken care of over night.

These men and women of the U.S. military put their life on the line and pledged to do so so you and I can have these discussions; they do it so that another terroist group can't dish out another big attack on the U.S.

  • eh i was with you until you said we should fight wars.

  • Bob Barr is NOT a libertarian. He is a conservative, and worse, a closet NEOCONSERVATIVE. He is a FAKER, an opportunist who is USING the Libertarian Party and USING libertarians for his own personal gain and agenda: to advance a neoconservative agenda while PRETENDING to be "against" the neoconservatives, and to FIGHT libertarian principles while pretending to "support" them.

Notice his Russia stance. That is a George W. Bush/John McCain/Dick Cheney/NEOCONSERVATIVE view.

    THAT'S the TRUTH folks

  • It would make no since for him to be conservative. He will take a nice share of votes from Mccain and harm "his" own party.

  • 03protegeES:

Barr doesn't about parties or causes, it's ALL about advancing himself, and he never would have advanced far in the Republican Party. So he's USING the Libertarian Party and libertarians as his vehicle to stardom. Kind of like a failed rock singer that switches over to country music and moves to Nashville with dreams of that big break.

  • 03protegeES

    Corrected - Read THIS version:

Barr doesn't care about parties or causes, it's ALL about advancing himself, and he never would have advanced far in the Republican Party. So he's USING the Libertarian Party and libertarians as his vehicle to stardom. Kind of like a failed rock singer that switches over to country music and moves to Nashville with dreams of that big break

  • Ah I understand what you are saying. I really don't know to much about him I just saw on the news that he might be supported/approved by Ron Pual so I thought I would try and get some more info on him.

  • 03protegeES

Barr endorsed Ron Paul when he was running for the Republican nomination, and even tried to encourage him to seek the Libertarian Party nomination which was all good then (Paul was a shoo-in for the Libertarian Party nomination had he wanted it).

But as of late Barr has started to distance himself from Paul and his supporters, mainly reaching out to mainstream conservatives, and even disrespected Ron Paul in public this past week. We are really beginning to DISLIKE this guy.

  • Barr is the 'ex'cia GOP operative in the LP party.

  • I would like to see Root do some talking. He is a cool guy.

  • At 37:20, you can hear Barr admit he is not Libertarian.

  • This is my first time watching Barr. My first impression, he will sell out as soon as he has power. He sounds like Bush 8 years ago.

  • i didn't care for the part starting at 40:24

  • END CORPORATE CRIME! RENEW AMERICAN DEMOCRACY!! OPEN THE DEBATES!!!

Stand up and unite for human rights! Stop funding the corporate war parties! They don't care about you and do not represent you! Help open the 2008 presidential debates!

WAKE UP! YOU CAN HELP STOP THE GLOBAL WAR, IMPOVERISHMENT, AND TORTURE OF HUMANITY!!

  • i think the first 5 mins of this interview prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that bob barr never was and never will be a libertarian.

  • Barr, the ex-CIA agent and phony.

  • BARR/ROOT 2008!

  • Barr is a CIA planted agent.

  • Waste of a vote

  • voting for obama/mccain 2008 is a waste of vote. both have equal agendas. Vote for change, not for a donkey or an elephant, theyre the same thing.

  • Wasting a vote is vote for a Dem or Rep the lesser of two evils is EVIL.

  • How come the republican corporate media won't give Bob Barr tv time??

  • He is something of a Constitutionalist. Historically for the past century the people who run the media have ignored anyone who is for the literal interpretation of the Constitution and small government. Even the parts of the corporate media that are Democrat run will ignore a constitutionalist.

  • ima registered libertarian living in dallas texas..im voting for barr in08

  • I am in Dallas Texas and am currently leaning in is direction.

    :}

  • A very interesting guy. I am going to vote for him! I am tired of choosing the President of the USA based on "who sucks less"

    I am sick of it!

  • Witch I too am going to vote my conscious and for truth and so I guess I will throw away my vote for the right reasons.

  • RIGHT ON!

  • Being an anarchist doesn't mean one is an isolationists. More lies to slander anarchism.

  • Hey! All people can be rich. It's a madness. Take money tax for coming back market... I want to have good services and good Government. I don't matter to me to be poor, market always asks more money.

  • Noooooo!!! Why can't we have somebody running for president who realizes the power to wage war isn't the President's? Is it THAT much to ask!? Everyone's catching on to the 'terrorist threat' not being that real, so they're giving the military ind. complex another fake enemy in Russia. Why are we so anxious to rekindle the cold war?

  • WOW. Thank you so much for posting this.

  • I'm voting for Barr to help the Libertarians get permanent ballot status....The Libertarians or the Constitution Party need a billionaire with open pockets to build them up...The notion that America is a democracy is a joke....

  • We all need to help get the word out to as many people that we know to encourage them to step out of the box and let them know that there is another choice !

In this day and age of tons of Information on so many things, there no longer is an excuse.

We Need to lead by example and vote 3rd Party and and if enough people realize this Truth, 1 vote at a time we can totally change the politics in America.

we just to help wake people up ! Bob Barr is an excellent candidate

  • I agree....I'm going to send him some bucks here in a while...if he turns the election to Obama, then maybe the GOP will finally wake up that they need to change...it's a hope anyway...

  • the gop wass infiltrated by neo "conservatives" a long time ago :(

  • the last hope...i guess

  • So when will the libertarian party be more than a corporate think tank/PR front?

I wanna see the american libertarians on public display where their evangelical recruiting style, circular reasoning, and straw-man ad hominem debate style can get the public scrutiny it deserves.

  • I've seen little of this guy and already I can say I'm not voting for him. When the question 'what should we do about Georgia?' came up and he didn't answer 'whatever Congress decides to do', I wrote him off. I'm writing in Ron Paul.

  • I am voting for Barr.

  • I grew to support Obama now after my hopes of Ron Paul died. Im still pissed at Paul for not running independant. He would of been locked then. Maybe Barr will elect him VP?? Anyway im very pissed YouTube only shows Obama and McCain on their election page. All of the candidates should be shown. This isnt communism its America and all voices should be heard equally.

  • We're one party off from the one party system.

  • I think I might vote for this guy.

  • Ron Paul rocks but he aint running is he...Bob Barr impresses the hell outta me , I wish Ron Paul was running, but Im glad Bob Barr is running cause someone needs to be there and he is the only one who is trying to make a "change"

  • not as good as Ron Paul... he's getting my vote, but he is only 60% there.

  • I completely agree. The problem with Barr for me, is his voting record and his past projects. When he first got into politics he was very Neo-Con. Over time he slowly drifted to the libertarian front. I want a candidate with consistency, like Ron Paul. Ron Paul has such a solid libertarian voting record, I saved it into my porno folder so i can masturbate to it every night. That is how solid RP's record is.

  • If only Ron Paul took the Libertarian candidacy. He'd have gotten a ton of votes, and gotten in the debates. Maybe upwards of 15, 20%.

I'd be one of his votes <3

  • Actually, I think Ron Paul also got an A+ rating by the NRA.

  • hello, I wanted to say go Bob Barr. I also wanted to plug another video on you tube related to this kind of campaign. It is KY Campaign for Liberty members message to the RNC. Go do a search on Suggestions for the Republican Party 2008.

  • Barr is playing into the lie that Russia invaded Georgia. I'm very disappointed.

  • yes but he is speaking and saying almost everything we ron paul fans, libertarians, some if not most conservatives want to hear.Such as

    The FED

    Foreign Policy

    Big Gov't

    Spending

    Education

    Welfare

He is not the perfect candidate..And I still have not supported him but he should DEFINITELY be the top on Everyones list.

I don't understand why some people act like voting for barr is not voting on principle when he IS talking about everything we want to hear.

  • The problem is, I don't know if I believe him.

  • lol...same here. But he is speaking our language. that is my point. so in the end i might just have to vote for him.

It's really not a matter of should i vote for him cause i disagree with him.

It's more like should i vote for him even if i don't trust him.

But the purpose of voting for him or campaigning for him is the same as pushing to have ron paul noticed. To get the message heard. So after the rally i do see many people starting to support bob barr including myself.

  • But people support Obama because of his message, even though we know that what he says and what he does are two different things. If we support Barr just to "get the message out," aren't we just as bad?

I supported Ron Paul because he had integrity and never went along with the mainstream media's lies, but here's Bob Barr, going along with the whole Russia disinfo campaign. :-/

I'd rather write-in Ron Paul than elevate a liar to his level.

  • Plus, he's talking about interfering with the internal matters of other nations, which is something Ron Paul would never do.

I'll probably be writing-in Ron Paul on election day.

  • He did vote for the patriot act but once he seen how it was abused he voted against it ;)

  • He did vote for the patriot act but once he seen how it was abused he voted against it ;)

  • Thats what bothered me the most, the Russia lie is the worst piece of Bull since 9/11.

  • Glenn Beck has finally woken up. It's great to see, but he probably won't have his job for much longer.

  • Bob Barr is trying to steal Ron Paul's movement and the United States of Amnesia is watching.

Glenn Beck recovering alcoholic, that's who I want sorting out the issues. Good job Becks

  • Stealing Paul's movement? Bull! Do you think that Paul is the only politician with a desire to shrink government? Paul's movement has been very closely aligned with the Libertarian movement. After all, Paul was the Libertarian presidential candidate in '88.

And another thing: as much as I like Paul, he's the one who decided not to go on after the primaries. If Barr is "trying to steal" Paul's movement (which I don't think he is), let him. Someone has to be the face of Liberty in '08.

    Barr/Root

  • No i don't think Paul is the first to want to shrink government. I think he is the first to stand his ground and never sway. Barr is half the man Paul is, and its clear that he is a bitch considering that he is "playing into the lie that Russia invaded Georgia," just like kevlarthehorribleone above says. That speaks volumes. The act of going to Barr is a bitch move, and they are going to let him on tv because he is way less effective than paul, aka not a threat to tyranny. Barr/Root is weak.

  • Barr is polling at 6% nationally. He's double digits in some states (11% in New Hampshire, 10% in Nevada). He's polling between 5-8% in a lot of other states. He's at 5% in my home state of Illinois. (Which is rather amazing considering all the corrupt Democrats running the show.)

The Republican Party of Pennsylvania is taking legal action to get his name off their ballot.

    Not a threat? Face facts.

I'd rather see Paul leading the Libertarians, but that's not how things panned out.

  • B.B. and Ron 2008!! I like it.

  • what about letting all the candidates debate, he just wants them to allow him in; all ready i don't like him any more then the 2 out in front.

  • those are some stupid debate questions

  • Ask ur self WHy he left out of the debates, besides the close minded answer "he won't win"? .... If your like me you see RIGHT THROUGH the media and government working to put a little game show on u for u called politics. They have it set up so no matter the winner the parties involved NOT THE PEOPLE come out ahead. What do you think?

  • "An isolationist is a fool"? I disagree. Classic isolationists have stupid economic views, but definitely the best foreign policy. Old right isolationism was a glorious thing. Being anti-war these days is considered the same as being liberal.

  • I used to advocate isolationism; however, I've had to alter my view a bit over the years. Being non-interventionists would probably serve us better. The free market--which America would be exempt from if we were isolationists--is still a good thing. But I do say, we need to get the hell out of other countries military disputes.

  • Like I said, isolationists have stupid economic views. America has a state market, and will continue to have such a market for a long time. There's a growing anti-capitalist sentiment in the US. I would rather have peaceful republicans with foolish economic views than no peaceful republicans.

  • I think I might just choose this guy over McCain...

  • If probama folks want troops home, then they could at least vote for a candidate who knows what they are doing.

  • He's not a libertarian...

..and how dare he say he's a Marley fan when he wants to lock us all up for smokin...

  • That's old news brotha......he has changed his view on that a while ago. He is indeed a Libertarian. Not an extremist like some of these loonies. Inform thyself before speaking.

  • he is actually against the war on drugs so what are you talking about? and you can like marley and not smoke pot.
