  • lool ur "5minute" videos lol love the passion though

  • Thank you Jared :) your videos are great

  • Very nice shots with baby Billy can I ask how much ISO did you used in your shots with baby Billy

  • Great shots, Jared. Thanks for sharing.

  • Oh my God, the baby is so damn cute!

  • Awesome! I can't wait to try some of these tips out. Thanks for your videos, I love your channel!

  • Can I use Flash softbox light on shooting with newborn babies? does this might have bad effect for their health???

  • thank you my friend! i'm checking in your website to buy a tshirt like yours! thank you!!!

  • I want that t-shirt!!!

  • @baseiishere you can get it right ow in the Fro Store check it out.

  • If the kid's asleep, your're supposed to shake him til he wakes up. Then take pix.

  • lol at 1:20

  • damn he's got a nice house

  • I have a baby nephew at home and this helps alot. Thanks

  • so mr. fro man why dont you like cropping?

  • Did I hear that you not use a flash with babies for like the first 6-12 weeks of their life?

I have a new baby in the family any day now and recall something about flash.

    Thanks

  • great video jared! how often do you use your 14-24? do your use your 24-70 and 70-200 more?

  • I like the two camera angles. I think it takes things to the next level. The webcam quality is OK for mini screens in the corner but for full screen video the second camera works as the camera quality is much better and much more professional looking.

  • Meant to ask Fro...might have missed it but what happened to the series you start with Greg? Really enjoyed the interaction together...are you going to get back into it as have not seen him in the vids lately?

  • @VictorResnov they went their different ways

  • @Mas7erChief117

Oh ok ..thanks for letting me know ...Fro didn't respond so guess details are secret! ;-)

  • @VictorResnov no problem

  • Great Video Fro....really good to see you working around the problems...much better to see real life challenges, and the talk with Bill after was really useful too!!

  • shoes off please!!!!!!

  • The 105 makes an awesome portrait lens, I use it for all my portraits, the bokeh on it is the best in my opinion. It's borderline one of the sharpest! 70-200 is great for portraits, but the 105 is just insane! Awesome lens!

  • i think he shoots raw.

  • Not a very good idea, turning around and speaking to the camera. Maybe you could place your camera on a tripod behind the screen and use that instead of your webcam.

  • This is great timing because my aunt is going to be having a baby in a month or so and this has given me some great ideas on how I should shoot it.

  • Hi Jared,

I know you like your Black and Whites to be thick but I was thinking since this is a Baby photo shoot that the editing should be a little be softer.

  • I should have checked this out a while ago! That is if it would have been up a year or two ago! Great post

  • Jared, are you using some type of touch pad with you iMac? Thanks!

  • @eforce1200 nope not yet.

  • @JaredPolin When you say not yet.... does that mean that you will get one, as if it will help with editing?

  • I wish I had a good camera when my baby was little.

  • Hi Jared, some great photos there.

Were all of them shot at 2.8?

  • @stanboy123 probably .

  • do I Shoot Raw rubber bracelets

i should get a free one for the suggestion

  • I like your 5 min shooting videos. Always great to watch, full of useful tips

  • GREAT VIDEO JARED! I'm doing my first first shoot tomorrow of a couple and their 2 year old. I have kids of my own, but I'm kinda nervous about shooting a 2 year old. She's gonna be running everywhere.... I'm gonna be shooting with a 50mm f1.8 canon T2i. Any suggestions?

  • Whats a good macro lens for a canon 500d

  • hahaha... Gordon Ramsay will NEVERRRRRR shoot RAW

  • Do you ever use filters?

  • Do you typically go manual or auto focus?

  • @TomScholfield always auto focus.

  • @JaredPolin why do you choose auto focus over manual focus??

  • the baby pictures were awesome jared. and the video is very helpful. can u please do portraits on beach next time. thanks and keep it coming.

  • i have a lumix g3 with the kit lens 14-42 f3.5-5.6

i am looking at a zoom lens like the 45-200 f4-5.6

do you think that is a good way to go

  • Gordon Ramsay doesn't like to shoot RAW.

  • @camehmig Who?...

  • congrats Jared for this great shots. I like this pictures from this little baby. Especially the reflexion in his eyes. Just awesome...

  • DAAAAAAWWWWHHHHHHHHHH SO CUTEEEEEEE. THE BABY IS SOOOO CUTEEEE.

  • any special settings needed in lightroom to upload to adoramapix

  • Great vid... just in time for my sis to give birth and pick up some tips on how to take some candid baby shots.

  • Your two-camera-setup really gives this a more professional feel. Really like it! :)

  • Great discussion. Many inexperienced photographers are under the mistaken impression that everything and every shot on a shoot goes perfectly. Reality is you hope to get at least a few good ones from a huge pile.

  • Consider changing the name of the show?

  • 11:56 "throw them in the backyard"...

i imagined this literally and started laughing... am i a bad person?? xD

  • I planned to do a photobook for my sister's new baby. Thanks for the vid!

  • @Myst872 adoramapix is running some discounts right now.

  • I often have the same thing with photo or music. If I wasn't to pleased with how it was going or there were a lot of issues to overcome, I can be over-critical of my own stuff.

After some time I think you have a fresh perspective

  • Your hair looks cute curly :)

  • Great video, Jared. Thanks for sharing :)

  • @erasser1996 get the 35mm u won't go wrong with it. crops to a nice 50mm and the MTF chart readings are way off the roof for substance and clarity. heck it even works on fx wide open.

  • really like the two-camera approach, Jared. Gives the video more dimension.

  • great video Jared

  • heard a really cool idea there- baby i shoot RAW shirts^^

  • Hi Jared, can you help me ... for almost two weeks i have the nikon d7000 with the kit lense,so i need a prime lense like a 35mm or 50mm 1.8...can you tell me which one to buy ?

    nice vids ! :) love it :))))

  • @erasser1996 are u happy with the d7000? caus i am gona buy it soon. need some comments about it :)

  • @w00tmackan

yes i am very happy with it , it tooks amazing photos...its actually my first dslr and i love it...but i am thinking about a prime lense ... so i deffenitly recommend it to you :) i am 15 years old , how old are you ?

  • @erasser1996 the 35 is wider but either way you go is fine.

  • Sorry if I missed this in the vid but were you using your D3s? for the shots?

  • @JD95 yes.

  • this the greatest video ever Jared !! thanks a lot for these precious tips can't wait to put all this in practice

    Yours faithfully Twittnino

  • What happened to your fro dude?!

  • Very nice new montage of video.

  • eat the baby

  • thanx 4 you time

  • Maybe you should just call it quick portraits or lightning portraits, or something.

  • Jared how do you get this nice white natural light. everytime i shoot in natural light it comes out with a yellow tint.

  • @wsstarzkstar you should adjust the white balance right

  • @gehhamsterbn thanks for the advice ive been leaving it on auto.

  • Besides the Kit lens which lenses are good to begin in photography is for a Nikon d5100

  • @rodzgonz

    50mm F1.8G Prime lens

    55-200mm for long shots.

  • @rodzgonz 35 1.8

  • Thanks a lot! Tons of great tips!

  • i like it when you switch camera angles and the voice stays the same. like it doesn't switch from webcam voice to mic voice.

  • Very nice video as usual.

and most importantly about this episode, is that, it is still under 40 min.

Jared, I like your works so much. There is a secret in them, I mean a touch, that makes them very special and unique.

    Good Luck.

  • Very well put together! These instructional/Tip vids just keep getting better and better. Keep up the great work!

  • 16:18

"Well we shot your wedding and now we shot your little kid..."

Great choice of words, Jared xD

  • @123IOWNALL321 Not to forget "how long until you shoot RAW again" lmao

  • Is the nikon d90 good stuff?

I'm planning on upgrading to that camera in the fall :)

  • @DYE9 good but very outdated you can get better for cheaper

  • Nikon>Canon

    Anyday!

    Well in my opinion :)

  • @DYE9 I thought that a few days ago . Then , I spotted a black bear on the side of the road and the Canon that I had was on auto . Point n ' shoot on auto was what I was using ( father cannot understand manual and gets angry when I hand him the camera on manual ) . The images were coming out ridiculously blurry in an automobile going about a half kilometer an hour and the bear was just strutting around . Auto should be right there and working at just about any time .

  • @DYE9 Ah yes , and now I know that Nikon is more fantastic .

  • i love the camera switching, feels more professional broadcasting techniques.

  • Nice shoot. Gj.

  • that guy has amazing light in his house!

    Nice pictures Jared!

  • Awesome work Jared! Love these 5-minute photography series, and I definitely think you should do more!

  • im diggin the 18 1/2 minute long 5 minute portrait.

  • Just as a heads up guys, you can put it on 480p... So there is no need for the "280p FTW".

  • @MrDobbyRocks i know but it first plays in 240p whats why i commented

  • 240p FTW

  • Lovin the 5 minute portrait vids, Jared! Good stuff!

  • amazing.

  • awesome like always i love your vids and cant wait to get my 60d

  • @LukasDJackson I've used 550D, 60D and 7D. 60D is my favorite. Not a fan of the 7D at all.

  • @unprofessionalvids the 7D is epic!

  • @ramitawil93 I don't like it. Maybe cos I do a lot of video. For video, 7D's ergonomics is horrendous compared to the 60D and the 60D captures much better sound since you can tweak the levels manually.

  • @LukasDJackson Have you thought of a 600D? The video features are better then 60D and it has camera enhancements over the 60D it's cheaper but missing the pro body.

  • @LukasDJackson lovely camera :)

  • @LukasDJackson wooo! be proud! don't watch jared's canon 60D preview though! hahahahaha ive got my canon 60D last december and have been really really happy with it! check my flickr! flickr .com/vinniemiranda

  • @LukasDJackson LOL =-)

  • alright!
