I like the two camera angles. I think it takes things to the next level. The webcam quality is OK for mini screens in the corner but for full screen video the second camera works as the camera quality is much better and much more professional looking.
Meant to ask Fro...might have missed it but what happened to the series you start with Greg? Really enjoyed the interaction together...are you going to get back into it as have not seen him in the vids lately?
Great Video Fro....really good to see you working around the problems...much better to see real life challenges, and the talk with Bill after was really useful too!!
The 105 makes an awesome portrait lens, I use it for all my portraits, the bokeh on it is the best in my opinion. It's borderline one of the sharpest! 70-200 is great for portraits, but the 105 is just insane! Awesome lens!
Not a very good idea, turning around and speaking to the camera. Maybe you could place your camera on a tripod behind the screen and use that instead of your webcam.
GREAT VIDEO JARED! I'm doing my first first shoot tomorrow of a couple and their 2 year old. I have kids of my own, but I'm kinda nervous about shooting a 2 year old. She's gonna be running everywhere.... I'm gonna be shooting with a 50mm f1.8 canon T2i. Any suggestions?
Great discussion. Many inexperienced photographers are under the mistaken impression that everything and every shot on a shoot goes perfectly. Reality is you hope to get at least a few good ones from a huge pile.
I often have the same thing with photo or music. If I wasn't to pleased with how it was going or there were a lot of issues to overcome, I can be over-critical of my own stuff.
After some time I think you have a fresh perspective
@erasser1996 get the 35mm u won't go wrong with it. crops to a nice 50mm and the MTF chart readings are way off the roof for substance and clarity. heck it even works on fx wide open.
Hi Jared, can you help me ... for almost two weeks i have the nikon d7000 with the kit lense,so i need a prime lense like a 35mm or 50mm 1.8...can you tell me which one to buy ?
yes i am very happy with it , it tooks amazing photos...its actually my first dslr and i love it...but i am thinking about a prime lense ... so i deffenitly recommend it to you :) i am 15 years old , how old are you ?
@DYE9 I thought that a few days ago . Then , I spotted a black bear on the side of the road and the Canon that I had was on auto . Point n ' shoot on auto was what I was using ( father cannot understand manual and gets angry when I hand him the camera on manual ) . The images were coming out ridiculously blurry in an automobile going about a half kilometer an hour and the bear was just strutting around . Auto should be right there and working at just about any time .
@ramitawil93 I don't like it. Maybe cos I do a lot of video. For video, 7D's ergonomics is horrendous compared to the 60D and the 60D captures much better sound since you can tweak the levels manually.
@LukasDJackson Have you thought of a 600D? The video features are better then 60D and it has camera enhancements over the 60D it's cheaper but missing the pro body.
@LukasDJackson wooo! be proud! don't watch jared's canon 60D preview though! hahahahaha ive got my canon 60D last december and have been really really happy with it! check my flickr! flickr .com/vinniemiranda
