This is Patti at her best. The original by The Dells is great, but Ms. Patti took it three levels beyond. Each and every performance she gives is with her best. She's an institution!
I respect your opinion but The Dells with Marvin Junior on lead cannot be touched. His powerful rough baritone with Johnny Funches on tenor with that unique strong tenor cannot be touched especially with the rest of The Dells harmony on background.

I fell in love with her during Lthe first Live Aid concerts in the late '80s. Then she came to Rotterdam (solo) and she also came here two years ago during the yearly jazz-festival. What can one say?I love her, I love her, I love her!
