I met UG in 1966 in Swtzerland, no one new who he was, and he was no different from anyone else. It was only in 1994 that UG went public, TV books, interviews.

So far I have never met anyone else like him or ever will. Take it easy and enjoy your life.

Really wished I'd had the chance to meet him. It's funny a lot of old friends I turned on to yoga via Swami Satyananda Swarswati (may have spelt wrong; dyslexic) are asking me how my practice is going & I can only say UG is the only one who makes any sense to me now. Some friends and I talked to UG in 1966 about psychedelic experiences, he seemed to know about such exper. and his comments at the time were, they can be profound on one and create changes in their consciousness. How ever later after C he said all experiences are worthless, they are just second hand. Thought can create any thing it wants to have, from the lowest to the highest. So there you have it. That's great! It's what I discovered by myself as well. You can have profound changes due to psychedelic experiences, but in the end, even such experiences will be worthless cos that 'ultimate state' (or whatever it is) is not touched even a line by anything. Two things that caught my attention in UG's physiognomy, besides the fact that he was a handsome man (and I'm not gay, make it clear to the eventual joking bastards), are his eyes' pupils, extremely dilated, that not even an acid-head would have, and his very white teeth. Perhaps his dilated pupils were the clearest symptom that he was really in another state. And his white teeth were due to his diet, of course. But his very dilated pupils really impresses.

I've been in the search for 25 years (from 5 to 6 years I was already engaged in it, bred to to be one of those spiritual figures) and in the end I was a finished man, even physically, due to yogic asanas and the whole mumbo-jumbo, and such a very strange event occurred to me as well. Finding about UG was what helped me to fit myself in the place where I already were.
