lets see a Muir Hill (all wheels same size) painted blue - i think some were - and a Ford 9600 4wd (conversion) they were only 2wd from the factory so could be County conversion.
@MYRDDINAPGERAINT no muir hill painted the 171 in blue colours for a while but then changed it back.....they're pretty rare so y is he TRYING TO FUCK IT UP???
Aye, actually it seems like its Ford 9600, but it could be where the video was taken it was badged as a County, because in Scotland they were often called 'Ford Countys' cuz they had Ford engines
@malcookie a chain are you out of your mind? XD I saw one snapping once, right trough the cabins window, just smashing over the drivers shoulder, he was damn lucky it didn't hit his head
@loonwerker Why would I be out of my mind? Myself and millions of other people use chains every day for lifting and pulling etc. I've never broke one yet. The one you saw snapping obviously was not designed to be used in the way which caused it to snap. Do you think that all the chain users in the world are crazy also? Perhaps the crazy ones are the people you saw using something that was not fit for purpose?
@malcookie for lifting no problem of course, but pulling, i've heard enough stories and witnessed enough, when harvesting corn and somebody gets stuck, not in a lifetime somebody here in the area will use a chain
@loonwerker it all comes down to the right tool for the job. We use a chain here occasionally for trying two tractors against each other and there is no way two tractors will break it. No matter if its a wire rope, chain, strap for lifting, pulling or recovery you'll be ok if its rated at the load its required to withstand.
strap holds just fine til 9600 lets go.

@malcookie well, could be that qualified chains are expensive
eitherway we don't use them for pulling (what amount of horsepower is the standerd at your place?)
