I REMEMBER THIS MOVIE. IT WAS A GOOD ONE. HELD MY FULL ATTENTION THE ENTIRE TIME. BEEN LOOKING FOR IT FOR MANY YEARS. PATRICK WAS PERFECT FOR THE JOB/PART. I IDENTIFIED WITH HIM PERFECTLY WHEN THE HIT SQUAD ATTEMPTED TO TAKE HIM CLIMBING A HILL FOR HIM AT HIS CABIN, WITH THEIR AK 47 RIFLES...DIDN'T WORK...ALL BUT ONE GOT WAXED...THE LAST ONE GOT THE HELL OUT OF THERE.....SMART. GOOD, PROFESSIONAL MOVIE ON SUCH A SUBJECT....REALISTIC AS HELL.
Thank you for posting. I saw this film in 1987 and have wondered about it ever since, though it is not the action scenes I like so much. I remember one with McGoohan and Van Cleef sitting in a pub, McGoohan is calmly reading his newspaper while Van Cleef is becoming more and more frustrated. Great scene.
Yes, thank you Network. This was well overdue for a re-release. I have 2 copies of this version and many many more - it's a great film and a perfect testament to the wonderful Patrick McGoohan (RIP)
God I love Network! They have brought out all my favourite TV shows including Public Eye and The Adventures Of Robinson Crusoe, not to mention Fireball XL5!

And the incidental music by Brian Eno was perfect.

McGoohan and Van Cleef - Wow! They certainly don't make them like this anymore. Brilliant!
