  • This must have been a lot of work!! I think overall you did a very fine job--sometimes the overlap may not go over too well, but I enjoyed it. Oh, for me, Torme had the definitive version of this (other than the Marcels' doo-wop take of course!) Thanks for presenting this and know that someone appreciated your efforts, rather then using this space as a blog to post ignorant, moronic remarks.

  • @Hoopermazing Your fuckin crazy and deserve to die, idc how long ago that comment was made, you still deserve to get your throat cut, saying elvis was a talentless douchebag, he was known all around the world at the age of 22, and he wasn't even touring at that time............. wtf go run into a knife or some shit.

  • @Jerms702 lol some deep seeded hatred there lolz

u gotta admit it was mainly becuase he was white thats the only reason he was the king

if he was black he would have never popularity

plus he ripped actual talented muscians music and turned into stupid shit that appealed to white people

  • and sucked at playin guitar all he could was sing

and dont get me started on his acting

elvis is fuckin joke to truly talented muscians

u know the ones that write there own music and play more then 3 chords

  • @akemoguy : Never a fan. Despite having a great voice, he did not better with age. Steve Allen caught heck for saying that, but it was true. Still he gave a lot of people pleasure.

  • @JRobbySh lol, sorry that I don't know the context of this, but if you're talking about Mel Torme, then yes he didn't get better with age for two reasons: He was absolutely phenomenal to start off, so he could hardly get better, and also, although in all seriousness he didn't better with age, he didn't fall off with age either, until he had his stroke :(

  • @roflattheworld : Didn’t make my self clear. I was talking about Elvis. He had great gifts but no discipline. Unlike Crosby or Sinatra, he was never totally committed to the music. Crosby, when he was about fifty could worry that he was not singing as well as he did before. I think Elvis just stopped trying to improve.

  • this video is purposeless as the song was created by Larry (Lorenz) Hart. so it's NOT Mel's song.

  • <3 Mel Torme <3

  • Heavens to Rodgers & Hart!!! KUDOS! This was a sheer joy to listen to today for the first time! What a marvelous mix! Excellent idea! THANKS for posting! May ALL your wishes & dreams come true in the New Year! :-)

  • This reminds me why I so fucking hate that cornball hillbilly, Elvis. The Velvet Fog, of course, was one of the great ones.

  • @Hoopermazing That 'cornball hillbilly' played music with some balls to it. "Before Elvis, there was NOTHING." - the great John Lennon.

  • @w4wxp Elvis was a talentless douche bag. And, of course John Lennon was wrong. Before Elvis there were the people whom both he and John Lennon stole from.

  • @Hoopermazing And you're obviously either trolling or 12 years old. Everyone took from everyone else's music back in those days and re-arranged it, borrowed lyrics, etc.....no one gave a crap and was sue happy the way that they are now.

  • @w4wxp thats bullshit becuase willie dixon prominet bluesman from the 40,s sued the shit out of bunch of people for ripping off his music

chuck berry sued the shit out of the beach boys for ripping his stuff off

so think about what u say before u post on the internet asshole

  • @akemoguy LOL you fail at trolling. AWW you mad bro? Poor baby.

  • @w4wxp "oh my goodness u know plz dont tell anybody"

shut up name one person in that gives fuck

    your tool

why dont u clean the jizz off your cheek take the dick out your mouth

    then talk to me

  • @akemoguy Learn to spell and talk like an adult and maybe I'll get back to you. There's no need to get defensive and act like a little beta-male screaming for attention. As for anyone reading this thread...sorry folks, I'm sure that's another fine example of public school education.... your tax dollars at work...

  • @w4wxp nope sorry im too white to benifit from these people tax money

i live on streets of anchorage alaska 19 years old screamin fuck u on u tube

    thats how i roll

just becuase i dont like elvis makes me a troll

    really dood???

    keep on responding asshole

  • ... agree with Paula and HepCat... doesn't do either justice as they are completely different keys, timing, styles... etc... appreciate the effort, novelty, and curiosity to see how it sounds, but... please... never again. let's just enjoy each one individually

  • This is just freaking strange. It is awesome, but yeah.

  • Yikes.. different keys!!

  • Oh the irony.... Elvis actually HATED Mel Torme..

  • Two of my favorite singers - Unfortunately this is completely listenable to, seeing as the songs are in different keys and really don't sound good like this!!

Ah well - Great singers anyway

  • Comment vous avez réussi! Bravo,de mettre en son qu'on entend si souvent dans nos têtes ...

  • Wonderful...

  • PULLEEEZ!! Don't mention MMM...I can barely say it...Michael Buble and Mel Torme in the same sentence. Come to think of it, not even in the same lifetime.

  • Well done, ajcgn2. This is quite enjoyable. Thanks.

  • simply beautiful

michael bublé sounds a bit like mel doesnt he? probably not as good though

  • good choice giving mel the lead. my favourite version.

  • Terrific! Elvis was only 19 when he recorded Blue Moon at one of his first ever recording sessions at Sun Records in Memphis. This of course was before he became "The King" and ultimately the biggest selling recording artist in history.

They sound great together - great job.

  • Elvis was known to shoot at TV sets if either Robert Goulet or Mel Torme appeared on the screen.

  • What a great job you done on mixing these 2 artists together, I love it

  • So unusual. Ordinarily I don't care for these posthumous mixes but this is beautiful.

  • For the most part, that has to be one of the greatest attempts ever. Terrific job.

The harmony parts are incredibly unique. That they are even close to the same key is unreal.

  • elvis

  • They actually sound good together at the beginning, well really the over lapping is really neat. And the two tones are really awesome because they're similar in color and richness but they have there own spin. And they're both two different types of singers.

  • I remember this video! You stole it from

ajcgn I think-- ajcgn2, you thief!

  • Hahahaha .. Can't believe someone has given you the thumbs down .. Maybe they just didn't get the subtle humour ???

    ;o)
