Dude, awesome stuff. What types of wood are best for the hip hop beats?

@4Skeptik4 thanks bro. what's amazing about hip hop is the completely unlimited range of drum samples and electronic sounds that have been used over the years.

the two woods in this video are both rubber woods for the body. the front plate of the cajon is an ash wood and the trejon is an ebony.

but i recently had to replace the frontplate on the trejon and i just used a cheap 3mm ply and it still sounds amazing. it's really all about how you hit it. it's definitely a feel thing :)
