@Fuzzzboots It wasn't the same back then, it was 5 min cooldown, and it was very limited. It's not like now, when the trinkit removes everything. AND, good geared warriors usually didn't need one.

PvP Trinket only removed 1-2 different effects depending on class, not everybody had a trinket that could remove stuns etc. Pretty sure Rogues couldn't remove stuns for example.

hi, i was in mutes guild rtzs in arthas and i remember when this video came out. the old pvp trinket didnt work the way it does now. only warriors paladins and shaman had ones that removed all immobilizing effects. rogues and hunters only broke a few things like charm and polymorph so using it wouldnt have got them out of the stunlock. i dont remember the rest because its been so long. i remember playing on our css server raiding and pvping life was so fun back then lol

@reckoner22 I don't know how good Maydie was. His was just a crit video with a lot of camera tilting and special editing which is what made it impressive. He always had a pocket healer and just about every scene was him poping recklessness. I'm not even sure this is him here. I heard rumors he sold his account before this vid was released.

I quit after TBC came out so all I know are the talents back then.

@Arcticun Still, I don't like TBC, neither WOTLK, Cata is fine but I think you have to admit that any expansion pack is or was more balanced in pvp than Vanilla wow, I was playing warrior and yes, fighting against rogues in world pvp ...Just a nightmare, only good thing I saw in vanillia pvp was that if you were skilled, you could beat rank 12-14 players in blue gear, cause skill matters, now it's just insanity to play pvp in pve gear or being outgeared by 2 seasons, resilience changed everythin

Man, WoW is such a joke right now that it's kind of sad.

Gearscore and achievements were probably the final blow for me. People being elitist over shit that was extremely easy to get. In theory, at least. The only reason it's ever hard to get gear now is because people don't understand that you don't need an absurdly high gearscore to do a raid.

I myself had a full epic hunter, Bwl / AQ40 gear. I one shot clothies with the crossbow from chromaggus and never ever lost to a warrior or rogue due to the unbalanced trap abuses hunters had in vanilla.

Vanilla pvp took zero skill, it was all about the freakin gear.

I miss the raiding content though, that was the good ol' times.

But everyone started to QQ about the unfairness of the pvp trinket. So Blizzard took the easy way out an changed the trinkets so they worked the same for everyone.

These actually aren't staged. When these videos came out everyone accused him of staging them, saying people didnt fight back or use trinkets. Honestly, watch the videos, they don't get a chance to fight back, and people rarely walk around wearing a pvp trinket that is useless unless a rogue just happens to jump you. Also, for every kill he gets while doing this, there are about 3-4 fights he lost.

What he was trying to say is that you do not fully understand how rank worked in Pre-BC a.k.a. Vanilla WoW. You did not keep your title as you moved up and down in ranking. When you hit Rank 14 you could buy the Rank 14 equipment and use it indefinitely. However, if you did not keep your honor for that week then you fell rankings extremely quickly.
