Thanks for your comment, I'm going to be making the 'Mission' from claytons other designs and that has quite a few dowels that I might have to drill.

Love the vidoes. You could simplify the drilling of the center wheel spacer by clamping a thick board to your drill press and drill through that with a bit that is the same diameter as your spacer. You can place the dowel in the hole and insert the correct drill bit. It will drill straight down from the center without the need for alignment.
