I think you should totally look into big band swing and try to incorporate it into your music, if only with synthesized instruments and backing tracks. A nice swingin' funk groove with good brass behind it would make your voice pop even more than it already does, in my opinion.

You're a great singer, and I only noticed a few unintelligible pitches at the very beginning. Granted, this is a camcorder and I'm sure you were fine!
