how??? how isnt this song more widely known? did they write this or is it a cover? the songs feckin epic man! What a mad thing youtube is, id never heard of this band and just out of curiosity i clicked on this song in the side bar, just because i thought it was a good name for a song, and stumbled accross this gem of a band, this lot should have easily been as big as the beatles, along with the zombies....thanks for posting!!
@bigfatbiffta There were so many great groups in the 60's, that some would come and go without really hitting the big time. I heard this on radio Luxembourg and bought it straight away.
Funny you should mention the Zombies - I tipped "She's Not There" for no. 1 as soon as I heard it. (It was no. 1 in the US, but no. 12 in the UK).
@bigfatbiffta truly epic, this band had a song figure prominently in the film "Rushmore" I heard this cool song on the previews when I was a teenager and thought it was the Who...
redDragoneye, what creation & action cds did you pick up?,i just got bbc sessions cd "uptight and outta sight" today!,got creation "psychdelic rose" just before christmas.
the BIRDS were (and still are) a 4kn KILLLLER band!! I played my new CD on full vol. and my nephew thought it was 4kn SICK!! he couldnt believe it when I told him they were from like 40+ years ago!! the ACTION are just class, and the CREATION just a stone cold blooded killller of a band!!
No, sorry - this is the only track I ever heard from them and it's taken me years to find it! I've got the original vinyl single back home but I've been away from home for a long time.
thee oh sees' take is better imo
