Yes, it is the same choir. They are Brucknerchor, it is one of the 4 boys' choirs from Vienna.
About the little red hair boy, that I am not sure. There are a lot of new members this year since there are a few taking their early retirement at 14 years old.
Thank you for your kind comments. I must apologized for the poor video. I was using a new Cam in which I did not know how to use it well. The Cam is a 10X Optical Zoom with stabilizer build int. It is my fault.
Yes, this is a very recent performance in the East Coast of the US.
A better camcorder will not improve the absolutely terrible conducting and his interpretation. He looks like he is conducting 350 singers instead of 26 (or so). The show is all about him, and not the boys. He is not well trained. A conductor who does this is attracting attention to himself, and I would dare to say that not one person in attendance bought a ticket to see HIM. The choir would be MUCH better with a competent conductor.
seek for "los ninos cantores de viena en tuna" to compare

I believe this was the same chor I heard in Eau Claire, Wisconsin in October 2009. The soloist there was not this one; he was smaller and red-haired.

Danke fürs Hochladen. Der Solist ist wirklich gut und toll, dass sich die Chorknaben selbst begleiten. Hast mal wieder heimlich gedreht, gell ;-) ?

Thank you Melvin for filming this beautiful concert, with the Wiener Sängerknaben.
I know the Brucknerchor is in the USA now, so this must be a recent video.
Very good performance of this famous song.

Magnifique voix du soliste! Merci.

The soloist was cut off when the composer indicated that the last high note should be held out for a long time. Stupid conductor.

Dankesehr, wskfan! - Ein sehr schönes Weihnachtslied, das eigentlich nicht in die Kategorie "Unterhaltung" gehört, sondern in die Kategorie "Kunst".

A new soloist - singing very good. I guess that in the meantime Konrad had to leave the choir (?).
"Pueri Concinete" by Herbeck is one of the fovourite songs of the conductor and me too...:)
You should buy a better cam, Editor.
