Bass Pro Shops has some affordable arrows that they sell under their branding that are decent arrows. Just remember you get what you pay for. Most of the arrows like that that I have shot normally break when in the animal. Look at a spine chart for whatever brand arrow you select and that will tell you what spine stiffness you need to get.

If you had said that was too light for elk sized animals I would agree! 30 pounds is on the light side for whitetail but it works just fine if you select good cut on contact heads and that is what we did. Her shot placement was not perfect but if you bow hunt long enough you will make a bad shot. Everyone needs to get their kids out there hunting as soon as they can so we can pass along our sport to the next generation.

Everyone has a right to have their own opinion and that is just what this is, your opinion. Texas had a poundage restriction like several states of 40 pounds for years. Noone could come up with a reason why the decided on 40 pounds. All this restriction did was prevent women and kids from hunting with archery gear. Women and children have been hunting with and killing deer sized animals with 30 pounds for years in states that have not had poundage restrictions.

We use Blazer vanes. She had stock vanes on her arrows at that time.

@survivallover200136 what state do you live in cuz PA's rule is that if you can pull more than 35 lbs you can hunt deer with the bow just in case you didn't know
