  • would you recommend the Indiana strat for surf? I'm currently using an Epiphone Alleykat semi-hollow. I like it, but it seems a bit too heavy and hard to pick at the tremolo. Great job man!

  • @45MonstersPro I don't play much surf music but "The Ventures" in the early days used a Jazzmaster and a Stratocaster. I think the Jazzmaster is more closely identified with surf and Xaviere Guitars, avaialable through guitarfetish (dot) com, has a Jazzmaster clone, the JT-100 that would be perfect. I have one of those as well and there is a YouTube clip on it as well. Take a listen. The Indiana Strat will do just fine too.

  • @borgrif Thanks alot man! Just found one with a seafoam green finish too, thanks alot daddyo

  • @bryansouza Thanks!!!

  • @bryansouza Thank you for the kind words

  • That is a beautiful guitar!

    Colours are fantastic!

  • @colotron Thanks. A very good friend of mine in New Jersey refinished it for me. It was solid pink to start with but instead of a sunburst, I wanted more of a sunset and I think he pulled it off beautifully.

  • @borgrif I agree! It's truly amazing , like that he kept the original pink and did a blue finish sunset , love it!

  • @colotron Actually it is a very bluish purple and he put a little metallic sparkle and a hint of pearl in the clear coats. It doesn't show up that way on video but if you get up close it is just gorgeous

  • Nice performance! Big fan of Surf music. I just posted a version of Perfidia myself and came across your cover - check it out if you get a chance... Great job!

  • @axb2000 Thanks, and I will definitely check yours out.

  • nice stratacaster

  • Excellent cover, thank you for sharing. Bear, what effects do you use to get that tone.

  • @bluwng I was just messing with creating some presets on my Fender G-Dec 3 THIRTY and I used the clean tweed setting with the volume set just a little higher than the gain, a little tape slap back echo, some '63 spring reverb, a little compression and some tremolo. I'm glad you liked it.

  • And another job well done sir.... I really your enjoy the tunes you choose to record... happy music. See ya on GDP

  • @MrDustyRoad Thank you my friend; you are too kind.

  • Great twangin sound,nice version

    Regards,

  • @tony7043 Thanks Tony.
