Here's my theory of Mars-san.

He's got abandoned by his parents. Feeling terrible lonely he tries to find them with a spacial nave, but all of his tries didn't worked and is crying because probably he will never see them again.

The UFOS probably be more parents that are regreted of abandoning him.

...But this is only my theory.

Very sad theory and very sad music. :'( I hope he find his mommy, his daddy and his brother to live happy. You won a thumb up and a favorites! :D

@RuisuRuisuDance That doesn't explain the crashed train next to him. I think that Mars-san is a manifestation of sadness within Madotsuki's mind... grieving some kind of train-accident that caused the death of someone close. Perhpas it was Seccom Masada, seen as you have to crash in Masada's ship to access it. All we can do is speculate, I guess.

@Digitalsp33r Train? Well, that should be the nave, we don't know if it's a train or a nave. But some parts of your explanation are true, maybe it's Madotsuki's sadness but not because someone died. Maybe it's the representation of lonely Madotsuki, and the train should be the representation of she trying to escape of her mind. But she can't...

Another theory I readed was that Mars-san was Madotsuki's mom leg, cutted off and ripped, maybe she cried while the operation...

My experience of the game was that first it's confusing and bizarre, next it's eerie, then horrifying... then all of a sudden... it becomes sad.

Kasei was left on mars ( probably young, boiler room is to keep him warm ) by his parents ( could've been an accident ), hence the lonely feeling.Midget effect is required to enter the boiler room, maybe it just refers to the baby alien. If it was an accident, his parents are actually searching for him. Use the Cat-effect multiple times on mars, you'll see UFOs coming in.

(Maybe just an easter-egg, though. )

For the music, imagine you'd be the only person on a planet. Yep.

@Vocaloid1234 You go to sleep, while dreaming, sleep in a bed in any world (counting Madotsuki's room) until you end up in a staircase. Go down the stairs all the way, you will then reach a mall-looking place. Continue left. Keep going and then there will be a fire covering the door. Use Yukionna or umbrella, go through the room to Masada's space ship, sleep in his bed multiple times until the screen goes all black. Tada! Leave the spaceship and your on Mars!

Mars-san... I always thought of it as Mado's mom. Being cut off from her in a hospital, only being able to see her leg. Her mother would cry, but her leg does that for her.

Looking on Uboachan, someone said that the bottom of Mars-san, his 'foot', looks like a toppled over piano and that Mars-san himself can look like a crying ghost coming out of it. It probably supports that Masada died in a train wreck.

@NekoBlaze014 well i saw some theories, and some claim that this is the rapist of Madotsuki. Indicating that Madotsuki was raped in a boiling room. So when you stab him his eyes turn green, meaning he is regretful for what he has done. But then again this is just a theory
