  • Love the hula chick!

  • What a lot of drivers dont understand is when emergency vehicles are near you, its almost like you are getting SWEEPING power to break any traffic law for a brief moment in the sake of moving out of the way/assisting that emergency vehicle. A lot of drivers tense up instead of just doing what needs to be done. I may be wrong but this is what I have concluded.

  • DUMBASS! 1 fire truck sire/lights/horn and you still DON"t fucking move sir/mam you don't need to be behind the wheel.

  • Thats one way to make people move right. >:)

and i would love to hear the excuse on why they hit u. but i hope that never happens. :)

  • @cheeseninja134 It does happen. Never underestimate how unbelievably stupid people are.

  • like a boss..

  • That red car was like, "oh shit!"

  • Fire trucks are cool.

  • lol at the hula girl

  • doing my basic firefighters course i learned that emergency service vehickes actualy have NO exceptions on the road LMAO! screw it HA HA!!

  • I woulda just got on the pa nd said get the fuck uot of the way... And the hula girl is epic

  • haha at 0:07 he says jackass

  • code 3 is lights and siren turned on

  • what is code 3

  • that was the most exciting thing ive seen since nam!

  • lol did the firefighter go "AWH YOU FUCKIN!"

  • compromise,improvise

  • Why do they wear headsets?

  • @babbafreeze so that they can communicate with the driver, officer, and crew firefighters.

  • I like those videos!

  • And its the law to yield to an emergency vehicle. All we have to do is radio your description to dispatch and they will put out a BOL. But it doesn't matter, what are you like? 13?? It's not like you can drive anyways, you don't know jack about traffic laws to get your license.

  • Have you not heard of Fire Police? We can enforce the law as firefighters.

  • @ylen 13 your an idiot, people's lives depend on a fast response. Besides it only takes a few seconds to pull over, but I understand your too busy being a selfish dick to do that

  • I would not get out of way. It's just FD and not a COP. Unless cop is around, no foul=no ticket=me not giving a crap that they are going lights and siren.

  • @ylen13 In California FD (by law) are the only one that can respond code-3 against traffic to a call...not even lil-ole PD! Cry like a baby because nobody likes you!!!

  • @cogburn86 Hahahahaha...pd is the only entity that can ticket, so who is going to ticket the cops?

  • @ylen13 What the hell are you talking about? FD can right tickets, we almost never do though...because we are not Dicks!!!

  • @cogburn86 You can write tickets? hahahahaha try again. You do not have arrest power. How do you pull vehicle over? You only got red lights.

  • @ylen13 Now I know you’re an idiot. We do have the power to arrest, and what does only having red lights have to do with anything. There are aspects of fire protection that you obviously do not understand and or know nothing about. Just to let you know we conduct searches and raids on homes of suspected arsonist, issue arrest warrants and at times pull people over. Maybe that is why I carry a SIG-2340 on me, an AR-15 and a Remington -870 in my duty truck. Go play in the sand kid!

  • @cogburn86 LMAO, you carry sig 234 to put out fires? Ye keep talking. Unless cop is around no ticket can be issued. Also might want to read up on what is the difference between a cop and fd as you obviously have no clue what you are talking about.

  • @ylen13 just so u know not all of us have just red lights...try blue red and amber

  • Comment removed

  • @ylen13 i'm not someone that responds to these kind of vids anytime fast...

but, by the looks of it, and the way you act towards FD, i surely hope someday you'll have a housefire and FD gets stuck in traffic because of some moron (like you) wouldn't yield

    think before you talk.

it's because of people like you that FD get late on calls

    moron

  • @Smith19858 No big deal, that is what fire insurance is for.

  • @ylen13 What's funny is one of our guys told a cop about some dickhead like you and he got a ticket for being a retard.

  • @Ivelostyourmind If cop somehow issue me a ticket, I will have it dismissed without any problem(s).

  • @ylen13 Brush up on your road, legal and mental skills before you post things like these... plus, saying "That's what fire insurance is for." makes me think that you are the kind of person that doesn't care about other's lives. What if you don't pull over to the right and you later find out that one of your friends (if you have any) was killed in the fire because the firetruck couldn't get there in time [because of you]?

  • @shootemup081 Oh well I guess I will not have that friend anymore. No, I do not care about anyone but myself. My road, legal and mental skills are just fine. Yes fire insurance exist so you can rebuild your house/replace your stuff in the event of fire or wind damage.

  • Fuck it haha

  • What's in all those files at 0:35?

  • @TopTap09 with all those different systems on board they're probably manuals, along with procedural shit. Sure they're some maps in there as well. I'm guessin.

  • gotta do what you gotta do! Great driving!! 5*

  • I just witnessed two drivers shit their pants.

  • why does the driver wear a headphone?

  • @couger014 as far as I know it is to protect their ears from the Q siren. Our European hi-lo martin horns (like used in Germany, Netherlands, Danmark, ...) are as loud, but not as aggressive that we need headphones

  • @couger014 it's a radio, hands free so that they can talk and drive without picking up a mic. Q's aren't that loud

  • @couger014 They wear those so the do not go deaf with the sirens.

  • @couger014 Everyone wears them on the rig, open mic in the cab, and push a little button when communicating with dispatch or other apparatuses (engines/trucks/chiefs). This makes communication much clearer and safer.

  • This wouldn't even raise an eyebrow in London - see it all the time.

  • fuckin A!

  • 1- I've done this on an interstate responding to a crash with entrapment (note we were told to cross over and come the wrong way by command that traffic was shut down, however they must have forgotten to mention this to the tractor-trailer that almost hit us) 2- the electronic Q2B siren sucks 3- the hula girl on the dash is classic firefighter humor.

  • hahaha did i hear "fuck it" right at the beginning?? what a fucking badass

  • @tommyG80 yes you did lol

  • what does Code 3 mean?

  • @Dinokisser lights and sirens

  • @gopherhockeyfreak Ahh thanks :) We call it Driving 1 here in DK

  • I'd be scared shitless if a fire truck was opposing me in traffic haha.

  • Cool

  • The growler gets em every time

  • Idk if I would have the balls to do that in my ambulance. We're just a little van. But I guess when you're a big ass engine you can do whatever you want. LOL strong work guys!

  • Comment removed

  • i love it gotta love the balls on him i know all of the drivers i work with would never do that me on the other hand if i have too and can do it safe then by all means i do

  • is that a canlendar peirce ?

  • To everyone who thinks this driver did the "wrong" thing: You're wrong. All states have laws that list which parts of the vehicle code do NOT apply to a licensed emergency vehicle driver when driving code 3 (i.e., lights and sirens). In other words, they list which laws you can legally IGNORE, such as driving the wrong way, driving on sidewalks, going through red lights, etc. Again, the drivers aren't just "getting away" with "breaking the law," this is COMPLETELY LEGAL.

  • Everyone, and I mean every fire video I see on YouTube there's always dumb asses playing E-lawyer. And yet again I will reply and say please do us a favor and stfu. They are breaking no laws as this is LEGAL! Also if it was someone in your family hurt or your house burring down you would change your tune. Be thankful to these men and women who serve and protect all of you!

  • Ha driving on wrong side. Classic

  • These guys are idiots! I understand how frustrating it is when you can't get through traffic but driving in the opposing lanes in heavy traffic conditions like this not only endanger the truck and crew but also everyone else who is on the road. There's no point in endangering so many people!

  • @Adakian16 i believe everyone was aware of the truck and where it was

there was only about 3 vehicles in the oncoming lane so they had a good mind to drive through it

  • @Adakian16 Meh. The opposing lanes were barely occupied, plenty of space for the traffic to move. The right lanes are look like they're all stacked 5 to 20 deep. Plus they only went a hundred feet, it's not like they were barelling down the wrong side of a highway for a few miles.

  • Comment removed

  • @Adakian16

your fucking retarded, 3 cars and its heavy traffic? fuck just fuck off

  • These guys are idiots! I understand how frustrating it is when you can't get through traffic but driving in the opposing lanes in heavy traffic conditions like this not only endanger the truck and crew but also everyone else who is on the road. There's no point in endangering so many people!

  • Hey. He got the green arrow to turn!

  • lovin the hula dancer at the front :D

  • Hey look they are doing what they have to do to save lives and property.God Bless all the firefighters out there.Volunteers as well as paid thank you we really appreciate all your hard work and deication.

  • whos pressing siren and horn? cant understand ._.

  • @Char1zard93 Most sirens and air horns in fire engines are operated by buttons on the floor that you press with your feet.

  • o you fucking ......... haha great video

  • Driving on the wrong side of the road in city conditions isn't half as dangerous as people make it out to be...opposing traffic really can't miss seeing you or you them.

    Good job and stay safe!

  • Nice

  • nice hoola girl lol i bet shes like oh shit what the hell r u guys doing on the other side of the road

  • Love the hoola girl on the dash. lol. Good job of taking it safe and easy. Anyone who thinks what you guys did wasnt right, i hope they never sit up front in a truck in my city. Its preffered to not go on the other side of the road, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, and its not like you guys jumped across the median at 100 mph. A+ you guys did it right!

  • Maybe if people would learn to yeild to our bit trucks and flashing lights we would be quicker till then we will have to use the road as we see safely just!

  • What are those huge A books for?

  • Good job of communication between Officer and Engineer. The Engineer took it slowly and carefully. The Officer made effective hand gestures guiding and advising the civilian traffic where to pull their vehicles over to and gave them ample time to make their moves. Outstanding Emergency Vehicle Driving !!!

  • some people just have no idea!!!

(same problems here in the UK!)

  • That red car was like oh crap!

  • That probably shaved 30-40 seconds off their response time. That could be the difference between life and death, saving a home or having it burn down.

  • i'd say some fantastic driving it tricky enough doing that with an ambulance or police car but a fire truck now that takes experince great job and hats off to the driver and his partner

  • very not kool

  • very nice..... nothing like a go co-driver, very nice driving

  • im loving what the red car did haha

  • what kind of engine is that? a ferrara?

  • Best part: The hula bobble doll!

  • Damn that took some balls to do, that was good driving though, Ill give you that much!

  • obviously 1 fuck tart doesnt have the balls to drive on the other side of the road

  • damn brits drive on the wrong side of the road ALL THE FREAKING TIME.

    jkjk

  • yeaa its the eq you can see the control panel for it at 0:34

  • LOL did he say "fuck it"?!

  • @excap

You're an idiot. Its so they can hear each other over the sirens and horns. Its common practice to wear them anytime the engine is running.

But you must be one of those idiots that probably thinks its cool to aimlessly walk around in a fire to get your helmet dirty.

  • @thekindledone Are they mandatory in all fire rigs? Does OSHA oversee it?

  • @excap was u born a retard or did your parents raise u to be a retard those r mandatory in almost all fire trucks so they can talk to each other and dispatch

  • @excap You've clearly never ridden in a responding apparatus before..

    You're the fag here.

  • 1 person is an ems driver XP nice vid

  • @ItMustBeDevon dude, when i use to do EMS while i was in college i always went into oncoming traffic...

  • @ItMustBeDevon more like 1 person had to get out of the fire engines way

  • nice move

  • i would love to be an engineer. lol.

  • excelent

  • Good job of getting through that intersection AO

  • Guys, this is why we need to be careful about posting our own videos. Comments like the AO made might cause us problems down the road. I've felt it too but just don't say it...:) Stay safe

  • That's another reason we don't like those "beautiful" landscaped medians....

  • dude i love the hoola girl on the dash, HAHA

  • I like how the driver you motherfucker get the fuck out he way!

  • nice driving? wtf... to do this you dont need to be expert...

  • @McWit0 Yes it does, moron.

  • @McWit0 go drink windex

  • @McWit0 you try driving a truck that big on opposing traffic you fucking retard. it's not like driving your mom's minivan around your neighborhood.

  • @TrackStar828 what the fuck, whit siren you have a clear way

  • @McWit0 Your sentence makes no sense. Please rephrase it so I can understand your moron gibberish.

  • Very nice driving. The public demands a quick response to THEIR emergency, but will not tolerate the inconvenience of yielding when its someone else's.

  • really nice driving - in Europe it's quite common for Fire Departments (also Police and EMS) to drive also on the other side of the road, and the cars on the other lane react most of the time very good

  • Nice driving!

  • Just goes to show that even if you are traveling in the opposite direction of an emergency vehicle you should PULL THE FUCK OVER IMMEDIATELY! Those same assholes that were impeding the fire truck would be the first ones to shout, "Why couldn't you get here sooner? Fluffy's hair got scorched because of your slow response!" if they were in need of assistance. That being said, keep up the good work, guys! Best use of tax dollars I have ever seen.

  • Ha, they had to tell the drivers to move to the right. Some people are like a deer in headlights when they come head on to an emergency vehicle.

  • @JB1052 yeah looks so in the vid - don't see it very often in Europe that the just keep drivingon in their lane ^^

  • Lol that was nice :D I once saw a fire truck coming down the highway. we were backed up for about 2 miles. that was a long drive through the bumpy median for him.

  • Why doesnt the firetruck have a loudspeaker to announce everyone to get out of their way?

  • @loveless3138 because it has sirens

  • @loveless3138 they do most of them have the capability to do it but thats what lights and sirens mean and they are much louder.

  • is there a law to have the Q siren, because almost every fire truck in the USA has it, if so i wish Canada would have the same kind of law

thats why i like American fire trucks, they have the Q siren and use it alot

  • @starcraftguy1 There is no law but it is like a preferred item to have because they are louder, and have a nice sound. Better than a normal electronic siren.

  • who is doing the siren i dont see any one operating it

  • wow that was awsome

  • awesome job

  • good driving!

  • have seen sth. similar in Berlin: ladder truck opposing some traffic

  • where was this at must be commute traffic

  • why is the driver wearing a headsst??

  • @frontline88888888 The whole crew has headsets. It's a pretty big cab and the Captain can't just turn around and talk to everyone, so the he'll talk into the headset so he can tell the crew what they're expecting before they roll up on scene

  • Man...that's why I love driving fire apparatus so much! Great job!

  • That was bad ass!

  • idoit drivers LOL

  • Too funny, great driving.

  • :5 seconds, fuck it?! lol

  • is that an eq?

  • Im glad we dont have traffic that bad, or intersections that big in my city. Its pretty good getting to where we need to go, but then again im not a driver so it doesnt really matter to me. haha

  • great job, but id have laid on the Q for better effects.

  • I heard that back east a Captain got so fed up with all the bad drivers in his community, he went up the FD's board of supervisors and requested a Police Officer respond ether behined or infront of the engine. His request was denied, although drivers have gotton worse.

  • Oh yeah, Hula girl on the dash FTW!!!

  • Ah the fun of driving the wrong way on the road. Dangerous, but fun at the same time. I am always affraid people turning won't see or hear me coming. All I drive is a car though (cop). Great job all around on that rig.

  • It takes some balls to drive on the other side of the road!

  • Man you should try it! It will scare teh shit out of you sometimes but you'll get through faster rather than waiting.

  • @EMTinCT It is easier and safer to drive on the other side of the median.

Drivers have perfect view of the EV. They are not looking through theirearview mirrors at an approaching EV.

Hopefully opposing drivers realize they should move to their right as the EV stays to its right.

Much better than pulling up behind someone and their moving forward into traffic.

A man in front of a firetruck pulled forward into traffic and was broadsided and killed.

  • @EMTinCT I do it all the time

  • @EMTinCT not when your in a 2 ton dire truck LOL!!!!!!!!

  • @FirekidE62 fire trucks are a lot more than two tons. Most rural FDs have 1000 gallon tanks. That's almost 4 tons in just the water tank itself. GVWs are a lot more.

  • @EMTinCT sorry, no it doesn`t. It takes skill and situational awareness. It takes teamwork with your partner. It should not be done unless it`s the last resort. It was done well in this video.

  • I love the voice commentary! Stay safe and thanks for what you do!

  • bigstu08 if you have a local volunteer fire company i would join them of course i dont know if you looking to get paid or not.

  • La or NY ?

  • Great driver.

  • This guy can be my chauffeur anytime.

  • Nice! well done boyz, not too pushy with some directions given to the motorist.

  • great response time and driving fellas :D oh and i dig the little dancing Hawaiian ornament, what company will NOT! have that up :D

  • Bless these men. They are the best! Firemen and Police officers risk their lives daily and get little thanks from the public they serve. The driver of this rig is certainly doing a fine job as he tries to hurry in response to an emergency.

  • dont forget EMT
