for one the flamberge is actually not meant for cutting. for a second one you even said you to little room, thus giving you a very bad striking position :/

and then the 3rd you hit with the middle of the sword, if you want a nice cut then the edge or close to the edge is where you want to go.

I've seen that sword on countless sites for sale. It's made of stainless steel, not high-carbon steel, so IT'S NOT A REAL WEAPON! Stainless steel is heavier than high-carbon steel and although it won't rust, it's cheap and may break under too much stress. The real term for that weapon is a zweihander schwert, but the wavy blade makes it a flamberge.

@lalakiller54 Great question. That leather wrapped part on the upper handle is called the Ricassa. With such a long blade fighting up close can be difficult. The Ricassa is there so you can 'choke' up on the blade and control it in close quarter combat.
