  • WOW............., just heard this song flipping thru channels on 100.5 FM Vancouver.

Great song! Excellent driving beat! Perfect highway cruising tune.

I'll check you guys out. ( I'm from the old school of Rock)

Keep cranking out these great tunes.

    Ray M

  • OK song, but I prefer their early work

  • this song puts my mind at peace.

  • I used to think that a good band had only a finite amount of great songs in them before they ran out of steam.....20 years later, this great and diverse band has proven me wrong. I hear a great new song on my satellite radio only to see SLOAN on the pad data.

  • 35 people love justin beiber!

  • @Alekat247 well wasn't that just original.

  • i love the bass line in this song but i dont see anyone playin bass! just me?

  • @Alekat247 the bassist is behind the singer on the left. He's just picking or strumming the bass though. I guess it's just his personal preference to pick when playing bass. Overall, this is a great performance. This group looks worth a ticket purchase to see live.

  • @worstmagician are you kidding, it sounds nothing like Girls "Lust for Life", this song is better!!

  • Thank you Bryan Lee O'Malley for blogging about this song.

    THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING!

  • this song sounds a lot like Girls "Lust for Life" But I like this song. I hope its different enough to avoid a lawsuit.

  • Where's "other man"?!!?

  • Why doesn't this have more views?

  • They're back.

    They're bad.

  • @fetchy15 its so bad

    -lucas

  • yeeaaaa buddy, good tune

  • there playing in halifax new years eve, yeaa

  • Remix this song with over the rainbow, only slow it down. I made a cover, Its not bad.

  • I can't get this song out of my head. Such a great song!!

  • I hadn't realized Sloan was still around. Last time I'd heard 'em was Smeared. But holy cats, this song is AWESOME. Bored a hole in my head a few days ago, and has lived there ever since.

  • Awesome.

  • drummer has as much emotion as charlie watts of the rolling stones. hahah

  • suicidal drummer?

  • Is it just me or do they all looked rather depressed especially the drummer!

  • i personally throat punch anybody who doesn't include Sloan on their list of the best canadian bands of all time.

  • John heder on bass hahah :)

  • these guys are way underrated

  • Sloan does very little wrong.

  • I just put this song on a loop, this is how much I like this song, and that I don't get tired of HEARING IT!

  • i like this song

  • Sloan is in a class all their own. They are one of the most under-rated bands over the last 20 years. Keep staying true fellas. We love you and your music.

  • このキャッチーなギターリフがたまらん!グッジョブ!

  • This reminds me of "Everybody" by the Zits.

  • @youngtomas23 I think they spent a weekend on Degrassi St. one weekend so...

  • awesome song for my ex

  • thumbs up for napolean dynomite in the video, lol

  • first time i've heard these guys and they are great.

  • i could listen to this song over and over and over!! it will NEVER get boring to me!!

  • man is it just me or is there more life in my foot

  • 32 rock'n'roll-hating GaGaBeibers are sort of unkind.

  • That piano is kinda buried in the album version but it's pretty clear here.

  • nova scotia baby!

  • I used to watch them iin bars in Halifax Nova Scotia for years man they are wicked!!!!!!!

  • All the Stoner's and Metal Heads in my Highschool like and have Respect for Sloan.

  • Good band, good song.

But it looks like these guys are 48 trying to look 28.

    *shrug*

  • @bosszeroboss What a strange, dumb non-comment. I don't get yr "shrug" at the "looks" business.

They're hardly plastic surgery disasters, or try-too-hard schmucks like the Misfits. They dress plainly, Their drummer has undyed grey hair. Ferguson may be a bit Angus Young-ish, Who cares?

They're in their 40's, therefore they should look like Don Draper. They must Look Their Age. This would make music better.

Radiohead, Stephen Malkmus, other Old Musicians, et al: dress according to your age.

  • Simple video for a great tunes! Works for me!!!!!

  • Was font row yesterday at the concert in Moncton. It freaking rocked!

  • @FatalElk me too!

  • @CourtneyPaigeWoods me too was a really good show.

  • sloan's playing a free show tonight where I live and I'm so pumped!

  • GOD-DAMN GOOD SONG!!!

  • great song made for a woman lol

  • Ready to get your mind blown by Sloan?

  • no mustang bass?!

  • This song Needs More air time on the radio !!!

  • now this is what a comment section should be, no one complaining or criticizing others, just enjoying the music

  • you know this band is great when they follow the rules of life, do what you love, no matter what people say or think about you and only one fedora per group, well done sloan

  • Wicked band!

  • What's the deal with this video? I love the song, love Sloan, but the video's kinda melancholy and uneventful/no-budget. Or are we just meant to be enjoying the awesome music? :)

  • All the stoner's and metal heads in my highschool like and have respect for sloan.

  • @StupidTeddybear they should they rock

  • @StupidTeddybear Im glad you took the time to interview all the stoners and metal heads in your school, on there opinion on Sloan.

  • @PogeyFilms "their"

  • @StupidTeddybear You dont have to be a stoner or metal head to like sloan!! I like them just becuase im canadian and there canadian!!!

  • @StupidTeddybear are you are stoner or metalhead? (just curious, cause I'm not)

  • Andrew looks bored...

  • my 6 year old heard it on the radio and just loves it ever since :)

  • A lot of great bands in Canada :)

  • It is physically impossible to resist grooving to this awesome tune. That is all.

  • Why only 137,015 views?! I must have listen to it that many myself!

  • SLOOOAAAANNNN. ROCK AND ROLL BABY.

  • love this song

  • I AM CANADIAN

  • Thanks Sloan for the best 4:06 min of my day

  • heard it on the radio, thought it was The Offspring.

  • @razzledashdazzle glad I'm not the only one that thought that. It's just his voice, sounds a lot like Dexter if you're listening to it for the first time without knowing who it is.

  • @highlander818 ya, i only like money city and the other man of their past songs

  • Someone tab this. PLEASE(:

  • AWSOME I have been looking for this for awhile to add to my ITunes...you the bomb...I really enjoy April Wine and Trooper and used to party with bot bands hard and SLOAN DOES NOT SOUND LIKE THEM!!!!! THEY ARE ALL THEIR OWN WITH ONLY THE MUSIC GENERATION HAVING FOLLOWING!!!!! Tragically Hip sounds the same in every album, so get off Sloans ASSS!!!! So many bands over countless generations sounded similar to all others of tier generation, those who stay true survive...oops on spelling errors...

  • Comment removed

  • So when i first heard this song i was like April Wine a new song what? ;p

  • I just love this song. Can't quite place it, but there is a sound to good classic Canadian rock.

  • Classic Canadian rock from a classic Canadian band. Not that water downed shit like Nickleback

  • This song sounds like a retro song from Trooper, but at the same time it sounds like a song that only Sloan can pull off.

  • ladies stop fighting and enjoy the music of people that have been doing it right for 20 years

  • My brother is 18 and he loves this song. =) I love it too. Pretty hard to find good songs like this in this messed-up century.

  • this song sucks fuck it

  • @SUPERGRASS1000 you suck, fuck you

  • @dfbhcf your mom sucks, dick

  • @SUPERGRASS1000 you taste in music sucks, prick

  • @dfbhcf lol you sound like a fat loser pathetic

  • @SUPERGRASS1000 right back at ya hypocrite

  • This video is most popular with Female age 13-17. They are tween pop rockas somehow.

  • FUCK YOU SHANTEL!!!!!

  • real music?!?!?! pretty rare these days

  • Another Yank here: Love me some Sloan! Best band around!

  • @TheHooligan1968 alright sir, thats fair, I just always hear people hating on Nickelback, but i still like them so i gotta defend them :)

  • great song! he's not the usual lead singer but he's got a great voice.

  • @gtrdoc911 Actually Patrick Pentland sings lead for most of Sloan's singles, but all 4 members of the band share lead vocals for each of their own songs.

  • @dfbhcf I stand corrected.

  • i love this song....lol

  • i accidently pressed the lady gaga sign.... thats one more view for her...... fuuuuuuuuuucckkkk

  • TABS?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!?!?1? plesseeee

  • @TheHooligan1968 why do you have to hate on nickelback? the band changed, so what? who cares? I think their more recent tunes are still really great, and they don't deserve everyone hating on them all the time.

  • Sloan...just a great band that nobody knows about. Darn shame. But that's the state of today's music industry. Popular music hasn't been good since the 70's.

  • The drummer is doing his best impersonation of charlie watts. lol

  • great song

  • cant stop listening

  • this song is great but these guys all look like they hate each otehr and are having the worst time of their lives in this video

  • looks like steve carrels brother

  • Fuck man i need tan for this song!!!!!!!!! fucksakes, someone please make a tab for this song cuz it's hard to figure out hot to play it

  • The singer could have at least pretend to sing with more enthusiasm in this video.

  • @kevini001 Oh please...

  • It's pretty sad how these guys can only get bar gigs when they have been producing great music like this for 20 years. Anyone who agrees, thumbs up and "like" these guys on facebook. Lets get this great rock music more well known ASAP!

  • @MrTooflyforawhiteguy you sure about that? they had a concert around where i live a while back and it was sold out

  • I like Nickleback better, but this is good.

  • This song kicks ass... good to know there is still good modern rock being played on the radio, in a sea of theory of a deadman, hinder, and ticklesack

  • good song , great band,,,,

  • Just saw Sloan at Rock The Park in London Ontario! Sloan rules!

  • @raccoonmatinginyour Sweet. Wish I could have gone (I also live in London).

  • Another great Sloan song goes unnoticed outside of Canada. Such a shame.

  • @brandonadrew Hey I'm in America and I'm listening to them. :P

  • one of the most underrated bands in history

  • that drummer is so mellow!!

  • Is it just me or does the lead vocalist look a bit like Steve Carrell.. if he were a rock star.

  • I don't know why you can't show your appreciation for a great band without slagging off another band. Sloan are a great band, who cares what other people like? Enjoy what you like, don't get bent out of shape that other people like different things than you like.

  • I just heard these guys for the first time and instantly fell back in love with rock n roll ! (I became a rap fan :p) Thanks Sloan !

  • I like the beggining

  • I do Wish more people knew about Sloan though! i love this band! they are awsome and....... They are just awsome! Ive been to a few of their concerts and im only 13!!!! maybe thats cuz i have an awsome aunt! thanks Theresa for introducing Sloan to me when i was 8!

  • No it's pretty sad that they've been working hard making music for 20 years and all it takes is one person to open their uneducated mouth and make a fool out of themselves. Your so busy trying to point your finger at Canada for you not knowing about Sloan. "American" promoters brought Nickelback to the USA, not Canada. It's not Canada's job to make sure you know about a good band. THAT'S YOUR JOB TEDDD99! Such an ignorant statement. You make your country looks stupid.

  • @RoosterStone You might be in the music business but you definitely have reading comprehension issues outside of it. I didn't mention or refer to any of the things you mention in your reply. I wasn't pointing fingers, offering explanations or making any sort of political statement about the music industry on either side of the border. I only said that it was sad that one band was far more recognized than the other. That's it. Peace.

  • Wtf is this?! I didn't knew there were still people making music this days... well done guys !!!

  • Why is there a lady gaga add below this? GET THAT SHIT OUTA HERE!

  • nice vid! Cant wait for their new album!

  • @mrmcjackshow Their new album's already out. It's called The Double Cross and it's fuckin awsome! Check it out.

  • Nice song... but not really my song..

  • loved the intro.. but then he sings . are you ready, meh not so my style

  • Great song but I don't think they could look any more bored to be shooting a video for it!

  • Pretty sad that Canada has a group like this putting out great music for 20 years and all the rest of the world knows about is the boring, manufactured rock of Nickleback.

  • @teddd99 I will somewhat agree. Although it's not up to the country of origin that promotes the bands that come from said country. How many bands are there that we don't know about. The amount of money put out to promote all of the bands would be absurd.

Not a lot of people know about this amazing Canadian band is because the band didn't promote or sell-out like Nickleback.

Just be thankful that Sloan still has it 20 years later.

    <3 Nova Scotia!

  • @teddd99 well... the world knows about neil young, april wine, too tired to think of more right now.

  • @teddd99

Couldn't agree more. Its bullshit! THese guys are classic! NIckelback will never be more then a group singing about whores and alcohol.

  • @teddd99 people also know rush an example of a great band from canada and also they know the tragically hip another great band and bto the guess who shall i go on

  • @teddd99 who are better Canadian or american singers???

  • @teddd99 So true! Nickleback blows! Sloan rocks. I just don't get it.

  • @teddd99 So true! I'm doing research for the music collection development at the library that I work at. We currently own nothing by Sloan! I vowed when I started this project to avoid all things Nickleback! There are much better places to generate Canadian content! ;)

  • @teddd99 yo this is a good band but so is nickelback buddy wat do you mean by manufactured ive been backstage at nickelback concert and they are singing real songs not manufactured songs dude: like this if you think im right wether you canadian american or in space(if your in space please tell me how the hell you get internet)

  • I didn't knew this guys but they are good! Really good!!!!!!!

  • I wish Chis could have edited the video to make Andrew look slightly less miserable to be there ;)

  • proud ofb these haligonians

  • gillar låten, man blir glad av att lyssna på den

  • Jay in suit = new favorite thing ever.

  • i can see a movie with this song in it :D

  • This sounds like good rock ( idk and idc what genre it is btw, it just sounds good). For a change something that is not crappy hip-hop and hip-hop influenced pop.

  • Love it!

  • Great video.

Vevo should put director/editor/producer credits on these videos!

  • @wefanscomingsoon I agree!

  • This song makes me wanna shake my weiner-man...

  • Apparently, this is the first time Chris Murphy has ever avoided the spotlight.
