phiolippine airports staff are thugs. when you are in the terminals, you can observe them always looking for any kind of chance to unsuspecting victims. they're grossly suspicious themselves. most of the airport staff will take any chance there is to make you a victim of their virtousity in crime related activity. I am a filipino, but I've had enough already of these airport hostility. its grossly appaling when someone in our airport employees are involved in all kind of financial nasty crimes.
Those who manage to get footage/sight of airplanes on the runway are either
1. Living near the airport
2. Working at the airport
3. Traveling
4. Just plain lucky not to be caught
Otherwise, I believe plane spotting here in Manila is forbidden due to security reasons. Too bad there isn't any support for the hobby from the government.
From what place did you take this video? I'm also interested in plane spotting in NAIA so could you me a location where I can video/photograph planes? Thanks!
Cebu Pacific usually use runway 13/31 for take-offs and lands on runway 6/24, as well as other domestic airlines like Zest Air and PAL Express. International flights use runway 6/24 for take-offs and landings, beacuse runway 6/24 is longer than 13/31 in order to accomodate larger aircraft models like the Airbus A340s and Boeing 747s.
its tru naia is really less traffic...we only two runway....and on the video it features one runway which international flights use it...the other runway is a domestic runway...which only cebupacif, air phil, zest air, asian spirit, seair, palexpress etc..is using...so in that case =it is real that naia is lesser traffic...but even that when you go to our terminal picking up a relative...whoa sorry to say its like a sold out concert area...hahahahaha no offence but its true..pinoy din ako ih...

So, its a lot busier than how it looks? Why? During my flight on TG - Thai Airways going to Bangkok, i've only seen Arabian Airlines in Naia which are 2 and the other terminal has only few Philippine Airlines, and the newest terminal has only 1 Cebu Pacific in it.

i have a lot of stories to share..pero nakakahiya...very backward ang mentality at attitude ng mga pinoy.... sana naman mag bago na po sila...(as a former filipino my heart ay nasa pilipinas parin) magbago na po...real chance is needed from the taxi driver to the leaders ng bayan... good luck na lang po.
i agree, there was no divertion occured on that part. im an atc from singapore (vatsim), naturally after the aircraft land she should exit the active at once, if im not mistaken that Cebu Air turn onto runway 31 for a taxi to domestic ramp (domestic airport), not for the gulf air to land on a short time interval, that gulf air is just following that 5J on short final (traffic sequence)..then those next acft are just normal, that COA and GFA to terminal 1..i bet you understand this mate.
Nope, not Continental. It's very easy to figure out that a 737-800 cannot fly transpacific. Continental does not serve Manila, but Continental Micronesia does.
"I think the Cebu Pacific Airline was diverted on the runway..." --> I didn't quite get that. The 1st Cebu Pacific acft shown landed on RWY24 ahead of the Gulf Air A340 and the Continental B737, then taxied to their ramp close to the end of RWY31. The second Cebu Pacific acft appeared to be taxing on taxiway Charlie from their ramp toward a bay at the NAIA terminal 1, possibly to pick-up passengers bound for a regional destination. I didn't see any acft getting diverted there.

Actually NAIA is now among top 60 busiest airports among 300 major airports in the world. And it's runways are long..Nice Airport

59th I think to be exact. :)
omar2726 2 years ago
Yeah, but there are only two runways and only one primarily serving international carriers and a very old terminal serving the international carriers.
I really hope that the Terminal 3 becomes functional before the end of the year to give a new impression to the country

It may appear so but the video was taken only on one side of the airport. NAIA can be a lot busier than how it looks.
