  • Me dads act abumlance guy

  • my Dads a QAS paramedic

  • gesus u do have a lot of lights on that but our s.a ambos have more l.e.d,s on our totaly blow away otha states of aus

  • This is fairly old now...Our new sprinters have double these lights on them, theyre crazy! Plus they have lower lights on the as well now! Pretty sweet!

  • Luckily this wasn't a real response... and she was opening it to let her daughter out of the passengers seat of the car....

  • Well that certainly is not clear in this video.

  • Then why did they have lights & sirens? I thought that's illegal.

  • its not.... St John are Permitted to use Emergency Lights (red only) in Vic, SA, NSW, TAS and ACT, in situations that require it. In Vic, Our Sirens are disconnected, due to missuse by certain Member... but in most other states they're still useable, but ultimatley, that wasnt a St John Vehicle, that was the Gov''t Funded Ambulance Service in ACT, so they can use them when they want..

  • Also FYI St John ACT actually have Red and Blue lights on their vehicles. :)

  • Oh really? that would have only been recent hey? down here in Vic, there is talk about us getting out blues back, and even our sirens.. whether it happens or not, is another question.

  • Yeah i doubt it.. I regularly do events in Vic! I love it there!!

But yeah in ACT we used to have no lights because we only had one vehicle, But now with 2 more they all have red and blue.

  • good god thats ridiculous! im an EMT in the US, and i couldnt imagine emergency vehicles having their sirens or lights removed...then they arent emergency vehicles! people rely on them! thats so fucked up...i would quit.

  • @wakeoforion999 Well, St John are only Primary Emergency Services in NT and WA, everywhere else they provide Auxillary Ambulance services, and first aid services, therefore, victorian government cant warrant the need for sirens... in a way i agree, but, god they'd help in the few times we do respond to large emergencies..

  • i coudnt do it-here in the US, if a vehicle is a licensed ambulance, it has lights and sirens, and any licensed EMT has the right to use them when he deems necessary. even the ambulance services with no emergency contracts, who only do medical transfers.

  • what was this for????
