  • one of my favorite childhood pc games. i played it off of a floppy disc.

  • @AFcunningham Those were the days...good ol' floppy discs. I still have some apogee games on both types of floppies :).

  • @AFcunningham Those were the days, weren't they!

  • oh god I haven't played this game in years

  • @DangerousD6969 That's what makes it so good.

  • This has to be one of the coolest video game themes to date, I would love to have this as a ring tone but it is so obscure I know my carrier wouldn't have it. Also it would be neat if someone did a metal version.

  • @gordonthefree17 Agreed this NEEDS a video game metal cover!

  • @gordonthefree17 so make your own ringtone? unless you have some super locked down phone :( I put the starcraft terran theme on as mine

  • Wow. Why have I never heard of this game? As a fan of Apogee's games I feel ashamed. Such good music, too.

  • @DaVince21 Now that you have heard of it and its awesome music, you can download it for free (they released as freeware now!) at 3drealms, which is what Apogee is called now. Just search up google Enjoy! :)

  • @DaVince21 The link to the game is in this video's description.

  • @gtdannemiller Yeah, I downloaded it at once. Man this game is tough!

  • @DaVince21

Yeah, it is, but you'll get the hang of it, and at least if you die it was to good music :D

  • I heart apogee/3drealms. what happened to my childhood all i played was, major stryker, wolf3d, blake stone, duke nukem 1, 2, 3d, raptor, keen etc

  • @Schwarze999 Yeah, I played most of those as well...too bad most games are not even near as good as these old classics!

  • Love the music from this DOS classic! Was this recorded from DOSBox or actual vintage hardware?

  • @Ruinah Yes, it was recorded while being open from DOSBox, though the image is just a still one, and I believe I used Audacity to capture the sound.

  • one of my favorite video game songs, ever!

  • @aisforaquabat Many of us feel the same way :)

  • I'd like to add to the comments thanking you for uploading this. :D

  • The music is quite similar to Duke Nukem II's music. It's the same composer, Bobby Prince.

    Long live DOS classics!

  • I actually bought this game (well over a decade ago). Totally worth it. Nice that I can just download it now instead of digging up the floppies

  • Thanks, man! This really brings me back to the CGA, EGA, VGA days :D

Not to mention 'extended memory' i think it was called :)

  • Haha, yeah. EGA and VGA was where it was at. Not sure I've ever heard of CGA before. Thanks for the comment. Long live the classic DOS games.

  • CGA = color graphics adapter

  • cga is the graphics style of the old games that were all in like teal and magenta or something. major eyestrain but some people like that style i guess.

  • THANKYOU!!!

  • Glad I could help :)

  • Thanks for uploading this! I used to play this game so much, I managed to beat it on expert mode.

  • Glad to be of service. That's pretty awesome that you beat it on expert-I know that's no easy feat!

  • Nostalgia.. I used to play this game when I was five and I still find this one of the best themes ever.

  • Totally true! I still listen to it on occasion. Got to relive the old days. I even play the game, since all 3 worlds are freeware now!

  • Is Excellent, like to make a remix with electric guitar :)

  • That would be pretty sweet :D

  • Oh yes... Wonderful music.

  • agreed :)
