i understand that princible of defence of faith, but the problem is enterpritation of defence, some muslims see a non muslims opinion as an attack on islam and think that gives them the right to attack them, look what happened when a teacher allowed a child to call a teddy bear mohammed thousands of people wanted to kill her, and the danish cartoons yet the muslim world is full of cartoons mocking jews and jesus how can they expect to be respected with such obvious double standards

im not actualy religeous which is why i get so frustrated with people that are trying to force their beliefs on other people, no country today should be goverened by religious people using laws from the bible or quran, these laws are hundreds of years old and not suitable for todays society all goverments should be secular and religion should be personal choice not forced.. its pretty hard to not focus on fanatics when we hear so little from moderate muslims because they fear the fanatical ones

you have said they are missinformed how can you be sure that its not you that is missinformed the quran was originaly written in kufic script which had no vowels so the verbs could be taken in one of several ways the critical dots were not added until years later and some arab words have up to 15 different meanings also their were 7 different forms of the quran 6 were burnt by Uthman we only have the medina codex today written in Quraishi dialect it sounds as if no one was sure what was right

LegallyDesi islam is as islam dose, you might be a good pearson, but the people who do these things use the quran to justify their violence i dont think you can say they are missinformed when the quran alows the use of violence they are only doing what the book tells them all religions are great if they are practiced peacfully but islam gives permission to use violence so violent men will follow what suits them, and if you dissagree with them you could be on the reciving end of such violence

But those muslims that use the quran to justify violence and attacks on civilians and non believers are comprehending the quran in a way that benefits them and their own interests.

if a book says "kill the non believers, it is allowed" & somewhere else it states "be peaceful, do not harm eachother, u are all my creations,. if u harm one another u are harming me" or "treat ur nabour good" then it is contradicting itself. So a person that has hate to non believers will ofcourse follow the first sentence blindly.

Islam ALLOWS polygami. (It doesnt demand) But with every priviligue comes responsibility! Muslim men can have up to 4 wifes, if he knows he can treat them the same way.

Now think rationally, who can treat 4 loved ones equally? Like, i dont even treat my mother, father, brother and sister the same way. Its natural to favour one from the other.. Plus he needs the first wifes concent before he can do it.

LegallyDesi thankyou for your reply, i see exactly what you mean and that is sort of my point, that good people take the good things from the quran, and bad people take the bad things, but how dose a good pearson who dosent use violence stop someone who dose from doing the things that they do, and giving islam a bad name our religion is mostly just an accident of birth we dont have much of a say in it but we have a choice in how we follow it, this is more to do with bad people than bad religion
