Wrong. It was a myth. Some loose animals from a nearby zoo wandered onto the set. The "hanging" is actually a big bird flapping its wings.

we just did a play in class and i was dorothy...lmbo and my friends were the munchkins, and it was a remix with scooby doo in it and a little mix of southpark with the scarecrow being kenny who the wicked witch killed with water..amazing.i even got a sweet dress like dorothy out of it.

There is no comparison. This movie is a classic and will always be one. The Wiz is one of the worst movies ever made. Diana Ross as Dorothy? How absurd! And Michael Jackson?...no comment.
