If one is in trouble and he/she is wavering, remember God at that point and God will help you. the only thing tho i have against "being a yogi" is that we were told by our gurus that we will not be able to merge with vaheguru simply thru yoga tho ryt? they say we will achieve this thru baani not yoga? please could you clear this up for me please
@kamalpreet90 The point is not that Yoga is the sole goal...it is just one of the many tools we can use if we want to. Bani is the root...and as we live our life we can include other things that can help us along the journey.

there some videos which you say certain poses were taught by gurujis we don't seem to practice yogic postures like suraj namaskar or deeper breathing are they additions to sikhi or a part of sikhi. also does aruyveda herbal medicines guru jis used to give certain roots herbs to people in sakhis belong to sikhi for yourselves?
I think there's controversy because Abrahamic religions accuse Yoga of being 'demonic' since it focuses on the rise of the 'serpent', which is Satan from Garden of Eden....
Yoga is a good universal technique that does not belong to any religion... Its a method of reaching God.... It maps out the internal energies, & practically teaches how to raise the God-consciousness-energy for union. The only thing that may be offensive to Sikhs may be when, Yoga as a natural Godly-technique,is connected 2 Hindu-ritual&supersitiions. Such as gemStone/chakra worship,idolWorship,planet-worship.These R outlawed by GuruGobindSingh as "Brpran-ki-reet"
